A core team for this ministry has been working with Fr. Medina to develop an All Souls Emergency Plan that will ultimately cover many aspects of safety at All Souls. In preparation for Phase I, we are looking for volunteers 18 years of age or older who are willing to serve in the St. Michael s Ministry at one or more Masses each weekend. Individuals will be required to complete an application to be reviewed and approved by Fr. Medina, along with Diocesan fingerprint clearance in order to serve. The process of being married in the Catholic could take between 6 months to a year to complete. Anointing of the Sick: Please call the parish office. The Rite of Anointing tells us there is no need to wait until a person is at the point of death to receive the Sacrament. Did you know that the Sacrament may be repeated if the person becomes sick again? A person should be anointed before surgery when a dangerous illness is the reason for the intervention. Eucharistic Ministry to the Sick and Homebound: If you are unable to attend Mass, please call the parish office so we may assist you in having a visit from one of our ministers or one of our priests. All Souls Catholic has offered the traditional Blessing of the Easter food on Holy Saturday after morning prayer for several years. Our tradition continues on Saturday, March 31st at 9:00 a.m. in our Historic on 800 S. Oak Avenue, Sanford. Families are invited to bring a basket of foods to be blessed that will be shared and eaten among your family and friends on Easter. The types of food found in the baskets vary according to the custom of what is served at the family Easter Meal. No matter what culture, everyone is invited to bring a basket with one serving or more of food to be blessed. Dressing for Mass... Please respect the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and wear modest clothing when you come to church. Men/Young Men and Boys Shirts and slacks (business casual).
