Sri P Madhusudan, CMD, RINL has called upon the employees to relentlessly orient efforts to reduce costs to the best extent possible through higher productivity, reduction in energy consumption and improved yields. Sri Madhusudan was addressing a large gathering of employees and their family members on the occasion of 34 th Formation Day of RINL at Ukkunagaram today.
Speaking on the occasion, Sri Madhusudan said that in this crucial transition phase there is an imminent need to quickly stabilize & ramp up the production from the new units, and also rejuvenate the existing units to make them contemporary in terms of productivity and efficiency. Added to that, company is sailing through difficult market scenario which has subdued considerably, impacting margins and realizations. The rise in cheap imports is also raising further concerns, impacting our bottom line significantly, he observed. Sri P Madhusudan said that progressive growth of the company and emerging as one of the most preferred steel makers in the nation gives a great sense of pride. He also informed that the company is inching towards 7.3 Mtpa through modernization. This is all due to the dedicated and committed efforts exhibited by each employee and complimented employees and their family members on this occasion. He said that in this phenomenal journey, we are greatly indebted to our predecessors, who also have put their best in shaping the fortune of this company and paid rich tributes to all of them for their contribution in this transformation. He said that RINL will always share its prosperity with the people around through CSR activities - in the areas of health care, education, infrastructure creation & peripheral development. He further stressed to continue the endeavor in this direction through creative initiatives that would make a meaningful difference in their lives. Sri Madhusudan congratulated the various award winners and hoped that, they would serve as Ambassadors to step up the performance of the company by promoting an inspirational culture across the organization. He concluded the speech by urging the employees to work together through well-defined values of ownership, transparency, cost consciousness, technological discipline, safety and remain fully focused in accomplishing tasks in hand, to scale new heights in pursuit of sustainable growth. ECO Awards: Sri Madhusudan presented ECO Awards First & Second & Third Prizes to Little Angles School & Chaitanya Public School respectively as a part of Vizag Steels Clean & Green Environment campaign. The CMD also presented 26 ECO Awards to the winners in Poster and Slogan competitions held on the occasion. To continue with the spirit of Clean & Green environment, RINL-Agro Forestry Department has organized competitions involving schools and school children of Ukkunagaram in the name of ECO Awards. Senior officers, representatives of Steel Executive Association, Trade unions, SC&ST association, WIPS, VMS and large number of employees and their family members, school children of Ukkunagaram participated. Earlier, Sri MVRV Prasad, DGM (Civil) Town Admn welcomed the gathering. Colourful cultural programs presented by children of Ukkunagaram and employees after the presentation ceremony at Rajatotsava Vedika in Ukkunagaram to commemorate Formation Day of RINL.
Sri P Madhusudan, CMD, RINL flags off Steel Run On the occasion of 34 th RINL Formation Day -today, Sri P Madhusudan, CMD, RINL flagged off Steel Run conducted from Delhi Public School, Sector-10 to Sector -12 Plantation area in Ukkunagaram. Around 3000 School Children of various schools of Ukkunagaram participated in the Steel Run. Sri Madhusudan had all the praise for school children and schools for their enthusiasm and support for the cause.

FRIENDLY CRICKET MATCH A Twenty-20 Friendly Cricket Match was played at Col CK Naidu Stadium, Ukkunagaram today to mark this occasion between Vizag Journalists Forum (VJF) and Vizag Steel team where in CMD & Directors also participated.
