We like to start with something funny each week: Joke: I heard about a pastor who went to the hospice center to visit an elderly Christian woman. As the pastor stood next to her, she began to fail. The woman was frantic to get something to write on, she scribbled something and then she passed. Out of respect the pastor decided to not read what she had written. At her funeral he said, I have in my pocket the very last words that our sister penned before she passed, and I m sure it will inspire us all at this dark time. As he opened the note he turned pale as he nervously read her last words, You re standing on my oxygen tube! We have a tradition: Grab your Bible and hold it up today: THIS IS MY BIBLE I am what it says I am! I HAVE what it says I Have! I CAN DO what it says I can do! Today I WILL be taught the Word of God, I boldly CONFESS: My Mind is Alert, my Heart is Receptive, I will NEVER be the same, In Jesus name. God sees that container of yours and mine and wants to FILL IT WITH HIS PRESENCE and JOY! DON T SETTLE FOR BEING PITIFUL when you can be POWERFUL! Empty out the lack and disappointment and let GOD FILL YOUR CONTAINER! 3. Part 3: - God never says OOPS! You were not a mistake! YOUR LIFE MATTERS! So, Be still and KNOW that HE is GOD! If you had an oops, get up with Jesus who has a plan for a comeback!
2 Today we want to talk to you about God never says That s Impossible! We tend to make that mistake- don t we? How many of you thought the Bills were on the road to disaster after starting 0-2?? (We grumbled and complained!) Maybe Bills aint your thing. So let s get personal: HOW Many of us feel like This country is on the road for disaster! We are 0-2 for presidential integrity! Scandals! We are DOOMED!!!!! Come on, it is EASY to feel that way! Isn t it? We can say THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE!!! Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy. What IF satan wants our Country? Hmmm. One nation under GOD. Probably TICKS HIM OFF! Gets under his talons! What if throwing in the towel is exactly what he wants from you and me? LET S PRAY for our nation and this presidential finishline. (Pray for the issues at hand. Abortion/ supreme court appointment/ protecting our religious freedoms/ protecting all our freedoms/ keeping us safe from opposing forces. Bless America again with REVIVAL! Amen) The Biblical truth is this: You and I are truly LIMITED BY our prayerlessness and limited by our OUR WORDS! (Revisit story of Numbers 11:28- People grumbling against God in the desert. Grumbling against leadership. 10 spies say Cannot take the PROMISED land / grumbling to the point where God said ENOUGH! I will do the very things I have heard you say: in this desert your bodies will fall- every one of you 20 years old or more who have grumbled against Me. Out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks! Luke 6:45 WHAT IS IN YOUR HEART!!??? WHY are we so quick to say IMPOSSIBLE! My Finances are impossible! My Children are impossible! My spouse is impossible! My Boss.My health my circumstances seem impossible! Stop using your words to describe your situation and rather use them to CHANGE your situation. FAITHLESS EMPTINESS and perhaps a heart FILLED WITH NEGATIVITY that has NO ROOM FOR THE GENTLEMAN GOD TO COME and Exercise HIS NATURE! Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21 Amen! I need my MOUTH and my HEART to be in sync with HIM! God is All-Powerful and can do anything within his nature that he desires.
3 No one can stop him No one can match him No one can best him No one can do anything that God doesn t allow GOD, By his own ALL-POWERFUL nature can never say That s Impossible For nothing is impossible with God." - Luke 1:37 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- IN THIS MOMENT I WANT YOU TO PICTURE ALL OF GOD!!!! Like a shaft of LIGHT INFUSING YOUR SOUL!! COMING INTO AND FILLING ALL OF YOU!!! GOD CHOOSING TO exercise HIS SUPERNATURAL POSSIBILITIES THROUGH YOU!!! GOD GIVES US GUT-LEVEL POWER I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. -Ephesians 3:16-17 NIV So the Holy Spirit gives us power on the inside?! YES!!! It s called REVELATION! It s His power REVEALED to those who allow HIM IN! Some of us thinking: I asked Him IN!~ but I still get to cuss when necessary. Smoke what s available Eat till I m discontent Speak my mind to whomever for whatever reason NO! that s MICRO CHANGE! JESUS DIDN T DIE FOR MICRO CHANGES! HE GAVE HIS LIFE FOR MACRO CHANGE! o 2 corinthians 4:8 8 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. LIFE CAN BE POSSIBLE!!! LIFE CAN BE BLESSED - but ONLY when we are STRENGTHENED IN OUR GUT LEVEL ~ our inner being! STRONG at the CORE! PC: Not only does God want to give us GUT-LEVEL POWER Power God Gives Us Brain
4 And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. -Ephesians 3:17b-19 NIV First let's get the foundation - Rooted and established in love - That God's love will take root in your lives and become your foundation - all about relationship with Him. Paul prayed that we "may have the power" - might be fully able to, to have the strength enough to apprehending (decisively laying hold of) the fuller dimensions of knowing the Lord (His love, calling, presence). To grasp - make it your own, God wants us to "get it" - He wants it to "click" What to click? How big God's love it And once we really understand that His love reaches Wider than any overwhelming experience you have ever had Longer than any pain you have had to endure Higher than any excitement or celebration you have enjoyed Deeper than any of your darkest, most shameful moments. When you really GET THAT..there is no end to the amazing things God will do in your life.what was once "impossible" things..god says "Nothing is Impossible!" To KNOW - understand by personal experience - This will produce MACRO-CHANGE in your life! God wants to give you POWER to KNOW HIS LOVE in a way you ve never known it.so that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. - o In other words, you can't have this power, if you choose a casual relationship with Jesus Must recognize daily relationship with Him. EVEN MORE THAN CASUALLY READING THE VERSE OF THE DAY FULLNESS OF GOD = to become WHOLLY FILLED and FLOODED by God We've all seen pictures of the flooding taking place down in North Carolina. Some of those houses are so filled with water that there is no room for anything else in the house. A couple weeks PR spoke of our container that is filled with negativity. How about letting GOD S LOVE FLOOD that container so everything else is pushed out.that's what this verse is talking about. Can you picture it?? Can you picture what life would be like it you allowed God to do that? No more feeling like you can't make it through the day (with God all things are possible) No more withdrawing from a conversation because you feel insecure (Your security comes from God) No more fear (God's perfect love will fill you up so much that it will drive out any fear that is in you) God wants to give you Brain Power (understanding) that you've never had before.
5 So when we rely on God's GUT-LEVEL POWER and receive God's BRAIN POWER that He wants to give us. It all works together to become Active Power Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us. -Ephesians 3:20-21 NIV God gave each of us gifts and abilities and sometimes we are tempted to have great confidence in ourselves but the apostle Paul tells us that we are to put NO CONFIDENCE IN THE FLESH. (Philippians 3:3) Why? Psalm 73:26 26 My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. What does Active Power look like? Acts 4:13 13 When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, (just like you and me) they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus. They are FLOODED with God s love! That s the secret.that's how the impossible becomes possible with God. When people can see your courage and say that person has been with Jesus. PR Let s all pray this out loud together repeat after me Lord Jesus (repeat), forgive me of my sins (repeat), come into my heart (repeat), I make you my Lord and Savior (repeat). Romans 10:9 If you declare with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. Thoughts not used: Jeremiah 32:26-27 26 Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah: 27 I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me? The word in that verse for power is a very important word in scripture. dunamis: (miraculous) power, might, strength - power to achieve by applying the Lord's inherent abilities. "Power through God's ability" (1411 /dýnamis) is needed in every scene of life to really grow in sanctification and prepare for heaven (glorification).
