Resentment binds us to the past preventing us from enjoying the present. When we hold a grudge against someone who has done something to us or who we think has hurt us, we are giving that person power over us, which they usually did not ask for. Let us examine our memories with compassion and understand that those painful situations of our experience, though unpleasant, gave us a great lesson and made us see and think about things in other ways.
