Narrative Lectionary 2018-19 Readings for Year 1 (Matthew) The preaching texts are always listed first. During the fall, Old Testament texts are the primary vehicle for proclaiming the biblical story. The gospel readings become primary texts on the Fourth Sunday of Advent.
