What are the liturgical colors?

LITURGICAL COLOURS RED (Good Friday, Feast of the Body and Blood of Christ, Martyr s feast days, Confirmation celebrations) WHITE (Christmas and Easter seasons, Feasts of our Lord, Mary and Saints who were not martyred, as a symbol of Resurrection, white is also used at funerals) VOILET or PURPLE (Advent, Lent, Masses for the dead) GREEN (Ordinary Time liturgical season between Christmas and Lent, between Easter and Advent) ROSE or PINK (On special Sundays the third Sunday of Advent and the fourth Sunday of Lent).

LITURGICAL COLOURS RED is the color of blood and fire (symbols on the vestments: Chalice and host for the Eucharist, a flame for the Holy Spirit) WHITE is the color of joy and gladness (the symbols on the vestments: A star for Christmas and empty cross for Easter VOILET or PURPLE is the color of penance and waiting, of Christ s suffering (symbols on the vestments: four candles for Advent, letters INRI for Lent) GREEN is the color of hope (symbol on the vestments: The Chi-Rho for Jesus Christ. ROSE or PINK (optional) is the color of rejoicing while in the period of penance and waiting.
