The Good News How to be saved and KNOW it!
Dear Friend, Please answer this question honestly, understanding there is no right or wrong answer! "If you died tonight do you know for certain you would go to heaven?" **If you do not believe in heaven or hell, can we agree for a moment they hypothetically exist? Great! Now, assuming there is a heaven, do you believe you are good enough to get in? Likely, your answer is no, and that's ok. If you answered yes, this is ok as well. God's Standard of Perfection ~ The Bad News ~ You must never ever have sinned, not even one time! God's laws are essentially summarized in the "Ten Commandments"; Thou shalt not murder, Thou shalt not lie, and so on. The two most important characteristics about God we must understand in order to comprehend the gospel, are that God is both loving and just at the same time. In order for us to be saved by our own "goodness" and abilities, it is necessary for us never to have sinned. God's perfect justice demands and requires sin to be punished. Here is what the Bible actually says: James 2:10 - "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all." Romans 3:23 - "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Romans 6:23 - "For the wages of sin is death..." Psalm 58:3 - "The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies." >> Memory Statement: I have sinned against God and am utterly ruined and without hope. God is Love! ~The Good News ~ God loves each human being to the ultimate, maximum possible extent, so much so the human mind is incapable of fully comprehending His love for us. Jeremiah 31:3 - "The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. Ephesians 2:4 - "But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,..." 1 John 4:8 - "He that loveth not knoweth not God; forgod is love." The love God has for us is so intense and powerful, He is compelled to forgive us of our sins. However, we also know that God is perfectly just and must see our sin punished. >> Memory Statement: God loves me and greatly desires to forgive me of my transgressions.

GOOD LOOKS CAN SAVE YOU! GOD loves YOU! - did you know that? He LOVES you so much, he is compelled by His mercy and grace to forgive your SIN. What is Sin? Have you ever lied, had angry thoughts, stolen anything, lusted? Come on now be honest, we all have sinned because it is a part of our fallen nature. GOD has a BIG PROBLEM with YOUR SIN which MUST be punished. Your SOUL has been tarnished by sin and you cannot get into HEAVEN on your own merits. Since God s standard is 100% perfection all of us fall short. You see, God will only permit good - looking people into heaven, and you do not qualify. Actually, neither did I until I did something about it! GOD GOD SIN You You Wrath o f G od Peace with God For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 - King James Bible JESUS CHRIST paid the penalty for your sin so you may receive the promise of ETERNAL LIFE. Place your FAITH in Him alone to redeem you from sin, because SALVATION is the FREE GIFT of God to all who believe upon His Name. If you want to be good - looking in the eyes of God, turn this over and follow the SALVATION PATHWAY. Please, this IS important! God s Standard is 100% Absolute Perfection James 2:10 - Everyone is guilty of breaking God s laws. Romans 3:23 - All have fallen short of God s standard. Romans 6:23 - The wages of our sin is death. Jeremiah 17:9 - Human heart is deceitful above all else. Psalm 53:1-3 - The Bible says no one does good. Jesus IS Our SAVIOUR and the Only Way to be SAVED Acts 4:12 - Saved by no other name under all of heaven. 1 Peter 2:24 - Jesus bore our sins in His body. 1 John 2:2 - Jesus is the perfect sacrifice for our sins. Hebrews 9:12 - We are eternally redeemed by His blood. Healing the Wounds Caused by Sin Acts 3:19 - Repent to God for the forgiveness of sin. Romans 5:10 - Reconciled to God only through Jesus. 2 Peter 3:9 - God desires you to repent and not perish. Receiving the Promises of God by Faith Romans 5:1 - By faith you can have peace with God. Ephesians 2:8-9 - Saved by faith and not of good works. Romans 10:9 - Confess the name of Jesus to be saved. 1 John 1:9 - He is faithful to forgive our sins. John 10:27-28 - He promised to give us eternal LIFE. Making Your Conversion Real Matthew 10:32-33 - Confess Jesus openly before men.
