Longing for Allah Etiquettes of learning 1. You should be collecting your heart on certainty of belief regarding news about what you hear about Allah and judgment day. You need to believe on it without any doubt. We all different on level of our faith, calamities and thus the whisper differs according to that; so therefor, it is very important you should fight back the whisper of shaitan and ask Allah for certainty. 2. Understanding what you hear, especially the matters about the unseen. Don t measure the unseen matters with your logical understanding. E.g. Prophet Muhammad صلى هللا عليه وسلم said when a person dies and he is put in his grave, and as soon as the people leave and two angel comes and they make the dead person to sit in the grave ; but you know that grave is a hole and there are bricks to close the hole, so you don t measure it with your logical mind thinking how they make the person sit in the grave and turn. We can t imagine it, we only know the description of it. You have to understand the hadith or the verse very well. If incase a question comes into your heart, you have to wait for the information and it gives you full picture. Search more, and read tafseer books, and ask the scholars. Sister don t measure duniya with akhirah, they are both very different. The above mentioned is all about during learning, what should you do after learning. Review the information you learned. You should not come to the class unless you reviewed the information of previous class, as it is connected and it will make the whole picture clear. Share with others, for example you learned that whoever loves meeting with Allah, Allah loves meeting with them; share with your closed ones and you will never forget this knowledge. As you are the first hearer to your talk, therefore, you will never forget it. Don t say halal and haram, or talk about Allah on your own unless you have knowledge. As Allah warned in the surah Araf about saying about Allah that which you don t know. It is more serious than shirk. There are people who say easily about halal and haram, who are we to say on behalf of Allah. You are responsible about yourself, how come when you are drunk, you will save others who are drunk. It is a long journey to learn, therefore save yourself first. Therefore, focus on teaching of aqeedah especially and start it with your children. And if you have doubt regarding knowledge, remain silent.

Longing to meet Allah Continuation about description of those who love to meet Allah: 3. They look at the action of Allah, they look at day and night and sun and moon. They see the perfection behind it and wisdom. They see how Allah beautified everything. They really love Allah, they thank Allah for concealing their faults. They increase in love for Allah, every day. You go through financial crisis and ask everyone for help and they don t help by not giving, and you turn to Allah and ask the Ar-razaq and He will give from places you won t even imagine. You get hurt and speak about it to your friend and they say it s your fault but if you go to Allah al-jabbar, He will comfort your heart. This will make you love Allah more. Mushtaq always have eyes on the actions of Allah. You just need to rely on Allah and belief on Him, He shows us signs us every day, no-one deserve our love more than Allah. Allah is Samad, He is perfect and all the favours are from Him; صلى هللا عليه even the natural love, never conflict it with Allah. Even Prophet Muhammad he loved Ayesha radi Allahu anha the most among his wives and among men, he,وسلم loved abu bakr radi Allahu anhu. The mushatq even direct their natural love to Allah, when they look at their children and parents, they thank Allah and praise Him for it. The believer look at the blessings and favors of Allah and love Him more, they don t let these blessings cut their love for Allah. 4. How did mushrikeen commit shirk with their love of Allah? They loved their awliya more than Allah. They committed shirk in their feelings with Allah. They attributed perfection to them. Their heart got attached to it and they venerated them more than Allah. Their heart would tremble hearing their voices and they sought their love for them only, so they committed shirk in this regard. Their love exceeded their natural love. Some people might not love people or false gods, they may love materialistic things, money. They may stand in their salah and think about these things only. When you commit shirk or make partner with Allah, He will leave you, Allah doesn t want to share His love with anyone. Types of love: I. There might be certain love but it will not be shirk, for example, love for the sake of Allah. It means to love the messenger, angels and righteous people, to love haj, fasting, charity. Allah loves these acts of worship, so I also love it.

II. There is another kind of love, love of pity and compassion. To love miskeen, orphans and old people. This is not ibadah. III. Love of respect, it is to when you respect your father and teacher, it is also not blameworthy. Does it conflict with your ibadah? No صلى هللا عليه وسلم Prophet Muhammad said.صلى هللا عليه وسلم 5. To love Prophet Muhammad whoever possess three characteristics will taste the sweetness of faith, I. to whom Allah and His messenger صلى هللا عليه وسلم is more beloved than anyone else, II. to love a person for the sake of Allah alone (to love someone because they are obedient to Allah or they are modest, the love you have for the one who are of your nationality or family whether they are obedient to Allah or not, this is not for the sake of Allah) III. The person who hates to revert to disbelief as to be thrown in the hell-fire. We will focus on the first category: no ne of you have complete faith, until he loves me more than anyone else. He loves prophet Muammad صلى هللا عليه وسلم more than his family, friends. This hadith emphasized very important fact, it is said that you don t have perfect faith, it means to have a perfect faith you need to love him more than anyone else. It is for those who faith but yet didn t perfect it. Why should we love prophet muhmmad هللا عليه وسلم?صلى Because Allah chose him to guide us, he was perfect in his manners. We don t love him because he is muhmmad ibn Abdullah, we don t love him because he is human. When he became the prophet and messenger, we love him, and we love him for noble conduct, and he was worshipping Allah and conveying His message to people, He sacrificed his life to make the word of Allah superior. We love him because he guided us to صلى هللا what benefited us, he is our teacher. A jewish man said to the companion, your prophet even taught you manners to go to bathroom, he said yes. He saved his dua and shifa for عليه وسلم us for the day of judgment. He was so patient on the harm, he received to spread the message of Allah. Accordingly, what should be our duty towards him? Prophet Muhammad صلى هللا عليه وسلم was holding the hand of umar radi allahu andhu and Umar صلى هللا عليه وسلم said you are dearer to me than everyone except myself, prophet Muhammad said, you have won t have perfect until I am dearer to your more than yourself. And umar said, now, o prophet! You are dearer to me than myself. He صلى هللا عليه وسلم said now your faith is perfect.

When you desire something that opposes the sunnah of prophet هللا عليه وسلم,صلى here you choose guidance and sunnah over your desire. Will you prefer what he said on what your heart desire? THIS IS OBLIGATORY, to place his love over your parents, children and friends. Especially advising children, for example for boys the thighs are aurah and it is forbidden to wear shorts, so the mothers don t want to break the heart of their children. Prophet said it is haram, but you choose otherwise. Allah is testing everyday our love for Him and his prophet, so we should love him more than anyone else. We should be supporting and defending his sunnah. We have to spend from our time, money to spread his sunnah and to fight back the biddah. This is how you revive the sunnah. (Surah noor 47) Those who say we love Allah and His messenger, party of them turn away. They are told to judge on quran and sunnah, to judge inheritance on the basis of that, but they turn away and choose custom over it. They don t have perfect faith. The ulemah said regarding the verse in surah kausar ayah 3. They said this is the one who hates you o messenger, he will be cut off. The scholar said anybody who hates messenger and his legislation and sharia, he will be cut off from every good in this duniya and hereafter. To proceed his statement over anyone else. This is very important, it means even to proceed his statement over the imams, like imam Abu hanifa, imam Humbl and Shafi. Now a days, when you tell people, whatever you are doing is wrong, they will say we are following the madhab of imam hanifa and shafi. Some people in wudhu while wiping head, they take water and throw it on their head, and if you say them what you are doing is not right, they said we are following shafi. For your information, imam Abu hanifa appeared before the compilation of hadith of bukhari and he based many opinion on weak hadiths. Imam abu hanifa said if you come across authentic hadith, that is my madhab Imam malik said I warn you, I may mistake and I may be right. Look at my opinion, whatever goes with quran and sunnah take it and whatever contradicts it leave it.

Shafi said if you find in my book contradicting the sunnah then take the sunnah and leave my opinion So those people who say we are following the above imams, they don t have knowledge. And this how we defend the sunnah of prophet, if we don t show the people correct way of wudhu and salah, they won t know. We have to follow and obey Allah s messenger. If you find an authentic hadith contradicting another hadith, then go to the scholar and judge on your own. The scholars know how to combine the hadiths, there is no contradiction in religion, so be careful. Anyway, the love of prophet is the part of love of Allah. One stage isn t complete other the other isn t complete. 6. They love for the sake of Allah, hate for His sake, withhold, give, and make allies for His sake. If anyone loves, hate, withhold and give for Allah s sake, they have perfected their faith. It means if you see someone doing sins, then you hate him because Allah hates that sin, you don t hate for your personal grudges. Giving for the sake of Allah is when you see someone in a situation, you give them for Allah s sake. In shaa Allah, we will elaborate more on this. There are people who make friendship for the sake of duniya, because they go out together all the time. It is not for the sake of Allah?صلى هللا عليه وسلم Some sister say is it fine if we wish for the husband like Prophet Muhammad You went far away from the whole point, there is no one like him. You should follow his sunnah, Sunnah for today If you join salah late in the congregation, put sutrah in front. So if they finish so they may not break your salah. And if you forgot to put sutrah, then you can move on the side to the wall or anyone who is praying. During the prophet muhamad هللا عليه وسلم,صلى once he was praying near to the wall, suddenly the flock of sheep came in front of him, he moved closer to the wall and the sheep walked behind him. If anyone prays they should take a sutrah. So therefore it is obligatory to put it, and if someone walks between you and sutrah, then you stop them, if they fight you, then he is shaitan or with him is the shaitan. If someone passes between you and sutrah, it breaks your salah. The woman, donkey and black dog, they break your salah. If the man passes then it doesn t break your salah, it diminishes the reward of your salah. Prophet muhmmad صلى هللا عليه وسلم took

camel as sutrah, even in the house he was praying to the bed and Ayesha was sleeping on the bed.
