HOST/WORSHIP LEADER: Welcome to Beginagin Theme Park! Today is a very special day and we are going to get to explore this awesome park!! Before we do that though we need to review just a few rules that we have in CF Kids. These rules are in place to help us stay safe and have a great place to learn about Jesus. If you know them you can say them with me. Rule #1 Respect yourself and others Rule #2 Listen and obey- Rule #3- Be kind and Rule #4 Respect our property. Throughout this new series, we are learning about eight truths from the Bible that will take our relationships with God to a new level...off the rails!!! So let s all stand up and come down front so we can start things off right with a song! OTR_ES_Song_Holy Is Your Name OTR_ES_Logo w/ Teaching Music HOST/WORSHIP LEADER: That was some awesome singing! Before we begin, let s check out what we need to know today! OTR-ES-Wk6-N2K w/ Teaching Music I Can Know More About God By Reading My Bible Every Day! You guys stay seated and repeat that after me. Optional Motions: I Can Know (point to head) More About God (point up) By Reading My Bible (make a book with your hands) Every Day (move left hand out, then move right hand out to make a what gesture )! Great Job! Okay well it s time to get started! Let s count it down! Ready? 3...2...1...ACTION!!!

Host: Okay today we are going to do things a little differently! We have a couple of different stations in Beginagin Theme Park today. You will be visiting each one before we come back together for our Bible lesson and large group game. (Divide kids into groups) (Kids will visit each station for approx. 4 minutes each) When you hear this Sound It will remind you that your group needs to move on to the next station. Okay, let s have this group begin at Station #1, and this group begin at Station #2 and this group begin at Station #3. Remember when you hear this sound You and the group you are in will move to the next station. Once you have completed all 3 stations you will need to return to your seats. Station #1 Juice Bar! Provide small cups of Apple Juice for each child. (Have a few un cut apples available to show to kids. Apples! When I think of apples I think of teachers! Have you ever given your teacher an apple? In today s Bible lesson we are going to be learning that Jesus was (and still is, because we are still learning from him) a teacher! Here is an important lesson that Jesus taught to people as they joined him. (Read Matthew 5:1-12) Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, and he began to teach them. He said: Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Blessed are the merciful for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers for they will be called children of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. I hope you were refreshed by God s Word today! Remember that Jesus is our teacher! We learn from Him and want to be more like him everyday! Have kids repeat today s Need To Know: I Can Know More About God By Reading My Bible Everyday. Station #2 Follow The Leader Lead kids on a short game of follow the leader. They can watch your every move and should be instructed to do everything as you do it. Use crazy moves and silly faces to make it more interesting. Hmmm, that was easy enough wasn t it? Now we are going to continue the game but make it a little more challenging (Pass out blindfolds) Let s see if you can follow the leader without using your eyes. (You can choose just a few kids to be blindfolded so others will see the humor of acting

something out without seeing what you want them to do) Continue with different moves or a different pattern that kids are supposed to follow you in. (After a brief example of how difficult it was to follow without being able to see Read Psalm 119:105 Your Word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path. We just saw that it was pretty much impossible to really follow someone when you can t see them. We can t see Jesus with our eyes, but God s Word is like a lamp for our feet. It shows us how we can live like Jesus and follow him. We need to remember to read God s Word everyday so we can follow him and be more like him. Have kids repeat today s NTK Need To Know: I Can Learn More About God By Reading My Bible Everyday. Station #3 Presto Chango Provide a Bible Have children stand in a circle, should to shoulder, hands behind their backs. Choose one person to be It. Place It in the center of the circle. It has their eyes closed while you hand the Bible to someone in the circle. That person should hold the Bible behind their back. When It opens his or her eyes, the person holding the Bible should begin passing it. Explain that whoever is holding the Bible must change the expression on his or her face until he or she hands it off, then his or her expression returns to normal The Bible should continue to move around, reversing or going one direction, and the children s expressions should change as the Bible is passed. It tries to guess where the Bible is by watching the faces of the players. After the game is played use these discussion Questions: How Did the person who was It know who had the Bible? In what ways does the Bible change a person s life? The way the Bible changes us isn t magic. It s God s way of helping us become more like Jesus. That s why it s so important to read our Bibles Everyday! Have children repeat today s NTK together. Need To Know: I Can Know More About God By Reading My Bible Everyday. Final - Host: Okay guys, that last sound means that we have all gone through each station and it is time to return to your seats. I hope you enjoyed your Beginagin Theme park experience today. Now it s time to watch this! OTR-ES- Wk6- Bible Story & Game Instruction GAME DIRECTOR: Ok are you guys ready to play this game? Let s all count it down together from 3 and say ROLLY. Kids, help me count...3, 2, 1, ROLLY!! FIRE: OTR_ES_Wk6_GameTime w/ Action Music Game Director facilitates game. OTR- ES-GameTime w/ Game Music The winner is...!

GAME DIRECTOR Let s give our contestants a round of applause for playing today s game! Thanks for playing! Before we go, we have one more awesome song to sing... OTR_ES_Song_We Are Free (This song is optional if time allows) OTR-ES-Wk6- N2K w/ Teaching Music HOST/WORSHIP LEADER: Wow! That was great singing! We have had a great time and we actually learned a few things from our game too! Tie-in teaching point:! Just like the contestants were able to learn more about the roller coaster by reading the blueprints, we can know more about God by reading our Bibles every day! Our Bible story showed us that the words in the Bible help us learn about God! I Can Know More About God By Reading My Bible Every Day! Before we go, let s say this together one more time in our best silly voices... 1. I Can Know More About God By Reading My Bible Every Day! (kids repeat after you, repeat motions if you did them earlier) When we read our Bibles, we can know more about God and His plans for our lives! That s why it is important to read our Bibles every day. And, you can always ask your parents to help you know where to start or to read it to you. I hope you all had fun in CF Kids today. Let s all pray together before we go back to small group. You guys pray with me! Example of prayer: Jesus, help us remember to read our Bible every day so we can know more about you. Show us who you are and how much you love us! AMEN! (You may hand off the microphone to the room leader or dismiss kids yourself) You guys can find your small group leader and then WALK back to your small groups! OTR-ES-Closer
