THE WILL OF GOD TO HEAL KENNETH COPELAND April 30 May 4, 2018 DAY 1 THE WAY TO RECEIVE YOUR HEALING This series is about the will of God to heal. The same power of God heals and forgives. God s WORD is life and holds the key to healing. STUDY IT I. This series is about the will of God to heal. We ve followed Jesus around His home in Capernaum. Jesus can set you free just like He did the madman of Gadara (Mark 5:2-15). Jesus returned to Capernaum. Jairus was waiting for Him. Jairus declared his faith to Jesus, Lay hands on my daughter, and she will live (Mark 5:22-23). On the way, the woman with the issue of blood said, If I touch His clothes, I will be whole. Jesus told her that her faith had made her whole (Mark 5:25-34). They continued on to Jairus house where Jesus raised Jairus daughter from the dead (Mark 5:41-42). Two blind men followed Jesus right into His house. He healed them. Be it done unto you according to your faith (Matthew 9:27-29). Faith is the spiritual, creative force of God. II. The same power of God heals and forgives. Jesus was teaching and preaching The WORD (Luke 5:17-25). o Four men opened His roof and let down a man on a stretcher who was paralyzed. Jesus said, Your sins are forgiven you. o The crowd wondered about how Jesus could say that. o Jesus answered, Is it easier to forgive sins or heal the sick? It takes the same power to forgive sins and to heal. As a forgiver, you are open to be healed. Jesus said we should forgive if we have anything against anyone (Mark 11:25). Forgiveness is not a feeling; it s obedience. It s a decision to obey God. o You have the power of decision; you can choose to forgive. o Just say, Yes, Sir. I forgive. If you still have feelings of unforgiveness, do not give in to them. Take authority over your feelings, and remind yourself that you have forgiven. It s done. Don t take it back. Be kind to the one you previously had unforgiveness against.
o If you are unwilling to forgive, you are blocking your healing. You re putting pressure against your healing. III. The receiving process is found in God s WORD. The Bible is God s WORD, and it is His bond. First, The WORD was sworn to be true by the blood of animals (Hebrews 9:19-20). Second, The WORD was sworn to be true with the blood of Jesus (Hebrews 9:12). This Bible is God s WORD. Take it literally. You can stake your life on God s WORD. Jesus said, My words are spirit and life (John 6:63). Man doesn t live by bread alone, but by The WORD of God (Matthew 4:4). IV. God s WORD is life and holds the key to healing (Proverbs 4:20-22). All healing is from God. God put healing into the human body. If you have a broken bone, it will heal in about four to six weeks. If you ask God for divine healing, He can heal in four to six seconds. The process of healing is the same. The Anointing of God can cause the healing to speed up. His Anointing will work at the speed of light. Divine healing is not a strange thing. The divine God built this body in the first place. Jesus never, not one time, refused to heal someone. He had a perfect record of healing and deliverance of everyone who would allow Him to help them. Faith comes by hearing The WORD of God (Romans 10:17), and those who hear are healed. Put your priority on The WORD of God. Lean toward and alter your lifestyle to fit The WORD. Keep the Scriptures in front of your eyes. Pray God s WORD back to Him. See yourself with what The WORD promises you. See yourself without the problem. Meditate on God s WORD. Feed on it. Faith will come. He said it now do it! God s WORD is medicine to your flesh (Proverbs 4:22). The Hebrew translation for medicine is health. Meditating on God s WORD is medicine to your flesh. And, you cannot overdose on it. Go ahead and double, then triple, the dose. God s WORD abides in you. Ask what you will, and it will be done (John 15:7). Additional scriptures: Matthew 13:58; 1 Peter 2:24 MAKE IT PERSONAL Write a scripture you choose to meditate on this week. Think about each word, as if God wrote it especially for you!
THE WILL OF GOD TO HEAL KENNETH COPELAND April 30 May 4, 2018 DAY 2 GOD S PRESCRIPTION FOR HEALING It is always God s will to heal. God has written a prescription for you to receive healing. Read and believe that God s WORD applies to you and works for you. The Bible is heaven s operating handbook, and includes God s prescription for your healing. STUDY IT I. It is always God s will to heal. All sickness, disease, poverty, human suffering and every other bad thing is the result of satan s terrible hatred for mankind. He is the author of all death, pain and stress. The curse that came into the earth through Adam s disobedience is three fold: spiritual death (separation from God), sickness and poverty. Jesus was made a curse in our place. He took all three parts of the curse and paid the price for us. Redemption is three fold: eternal life, healing and financial prosperity (all your needs supplied). To receive healing is a process. You can receive it instantly or progressively. II. God has given a prescription for you to receive healing (Proverbs 4:20-22). When the doctor gives you a prescription, you have to take it to receive the benefit. If you don t take it, the medicine is not getting into your system. Just like eating food, God s WORD must continually and consistently be put into your system. o You can memorize verses, and that s good; but they won t feed you. It s important to feed on the Scriptures. o Make the decision to believe what you read. When you decide to eat, and you say you re going to eat, your stomach starts working involuntarily to prepare for the food. o In the same way, faith is coming when you hear The WORD. The moment you say, I believe, something happens in you. Understanding how God s WORD and faith work together takes the mystery out of receiving.
III. Read and believe that God s WORD applies to you and works for you. Kenneth Copeland tells when he had the flu years ago. He read by whose stripes, ye were healed (1 Peter 2:24). o He said, I choose to believe what I just read. He started feeling better, then better, and then was perfectly healed. You don t have to convince God to give you something you already have. If you re hard-hearted, the seed of God s WORD will not grow. But if the seed has good soil, water and sunshine, it knows what to do grow! The system works. Out of your spirit come life forces (Proverbs 4:23-25). All of the spiritual forces are in your spirit, including faith, love, wisdom, righteousness and healing, because God is in you. Don t allow your spirit man to be buried and weighed down by your natural mind and physical body. Keep things in the proper order: spirit, soul and body (1 Thessalonians 5:23). IV. The Bible is heaven s operating handbook, and it is the prescription for your healing. If you want the truth about Noah and the ark, or Jonah being swallowed by a big fish, go to the Bible (Genesis 7; Jonah 1:17). Protect your spirit, your inner man. That s where your life is. Your inner man needs to be fed properly, needs a constant diet on the true WORD of God, The WORD of faith (Romans 10:8). Don t be distracted. Keep your eyes looking straight ahead at God s WORD all the time. Healing always comes and always works. Jesus is the Great Physician. Anytime you go to Him, Jesus goes to work for you immediately. Additional scriptures: Romans 10:17; 2 Corinthians 5:8 MAKE IT PERSONAL Write a declaration of your belief that God wants to heal now, in this day and age, and He wants to heal you!
THE WILL OF GOD TO HEAL KENNETH COPELAND April 30 May 4, 2018 DAY 3 HOW TO TAKE AUTHORITY OVER YOUR WORDS Jesus is always with you, and He is listening for your words to receive His presence. Be diligent to protect your inner man from destructive words; your very life is in there. All material things came into being when God spoke with the force of faith. Words are spiritual containers. STUDY IT I. Jesus is always with you, and He is ready for you to receive His presence and His wisdom. Kenneth Copeland shares how he got born again. o Gloria had been born again a few weeks earlier in their previous house. Gloria read in Kenneth s Bible that God took care of the birds (Matthew 6:26). She prayed and said, LORD, take my life and do something with it. o Gloria started praying, and God began to bless them. They moved into a new apartment, and Brother Copeland got a good job flying as a pilot. No more train noise at 3 a.m.! One evening, Gloria was cooking supper, and the presence of Jesus came into the apartment. Jesus said to Kenneth, If you don t get straightened out with Me, you are headed to a devil s hell. Kenneth said, I know it. What do I do? Then, he heard his Sunday school teacher s voice in his spirit say, Boys, you need to ask Jesus to come into your heart. In an instant, he experienced a miraculous change. The war in his heart ended, and he was in love with Jesus. II. Be diligent to protect your inner man from destructive words; your very life is in there. Desire the sincere milk of The WORD (1 Peter 2:2). But don t stay on milk, keep growing. Use your faith, and it will grow. We have God s prescription for receiving healing, and it s all about faith. Jesus walked by a fig tree (Mark 11:12-14). He was hungry and was looking for figs, but there were none. Jesus said, No man eat fruit from you hereafter forever. It dried up from the roots.
Spiritual things affect you on the inside before they are noticeable on the outside. Your faith on the inside will make your circumstances whole. God has already transferred everything to your spirit man, including all the money you need. The kingdom of God is within you (Luke 17:21). We depend on God s WORD on the inside, and our faith works to make it happen on the outside. III. All material things came into being when God spoke with the force of faith. Faith is the substance of what you re hoping for, the evidence of things you can t see (Hebrews 11:1). Jesus used that tree to demonstrate how faith worked. The same thing happened on the day of Creation. God believe it in Himself; He could see it on the inside. Hope is the inner image in your spirit; faith makes it happen. You have faith to change or receive what you desire (Mark 11:22-24). God is a spirit, and so are you. You have the spiritual capacity and equipment to do what He does. You have the same faith, and it works the same way. IV. Words are spiritual containers. Words carry faith, fear, love or hate. The power of death and life are in your words (Proverbs 18:21). God created with words (Genesis 1:3). We live in a word-dominated environment. Our entire lives are the result of what we have been saying. Scriptures tell us to attend to God s WORD, make it first place, put it in our hearts, mediate on it, and speak it out of our mouths (Proverbs 4:20-22). You were given the ability to speak like God for a reason. You have the right to choose what words you speak. We must take authority over our words, find out from Jesus what to do with this faith, and put the prescription into operation. Brother Copeland tells that when Kellie Copeland was fighting the flu, he told her, You are not the sick trying to get well, you are healed; and the devil is trying to steal your health. She was totally healed. It s vitally important to obey what Jesus is saying. Additional scriptures: Proverbs 1:22; Matthew 4:4 MAKE IT PERSONAL Ask yourself what your words contain life, death, blessing or cursing. Pray for help to change your words, so the love of God comes from your mouth. Write a statement of love and thanksgiving to God.
THE WILL OF GOD TO HEAL KENNETH COPELAND April 30 May 4, 2018 DAY 4 PUT YOUR FAITH INTO OPERATION Anyone can ask and receive, because it s a spiritual law. Faith comes by hearing The WORD of God. The principles of faith are found throughout the Bible. The righteousness of faith speaks words of faith. STUDY IT I. Anyone can ask and receive, because it s a spiritual law. When you pray, start believing. Forget your feelings. Make the decision to believe (Mark 11:22-26). Forgiveness is available to you. When you won t forgive, you bind God from helping you. He can t cleanse you from unrighteousness, because you won t fix the unrighteousness. o When you forgive others, you can go to the Father and receive your forgiveness by faith. If your unrighteousness is cleansed, the only thing left is righteousness (1 John 1:9). II. Faith comes by hearing The WORD of God. Read God s promises and feed on them. Then you have strength in faith and can speak to problems. When you speak in faith, they must leave. o Don t pray for the disease, pray for the person. o Jesus bore your disease; it doesn t belong to you anymore. You don t own it. You can t say my arthritis anymore. Be picky with what goes into your eyes and ears and out of your mouth. You are a soldier in training. Be very picky about the issues of life! We are in training, and we re getting stronger every day. III. The same principles of faith are found throughout the Bible. David killed Goliath using these principles. David said he would take Goliath s head (1 Samuel 17:40-52). The minute he said it, it was true. o David said he would defeat Goliath, and the whole world would know there was a God in Israel. o David wasn t cowardly; he ran at Goliath and killed him. o David chased the Philistines back to Gath, Goliath s home town. How? Faith in God. David believed it, he said it and he acted on it.
The devil only has empty words; he has no power. He tries to get your power by using the power of your words against you. II. The righteousness of faith speaks words of faith (Romans 10:6-9). Faith says The WORD is in your heart. No need to ask Jesus to come down and heal you, or ask Jesus to come up and touch you. No, The WORD of faith is here. o Faith comes by hearing The WORD of God (Romans 10:17). Faith doesn t come by having heard; it comes by hearing. You have to continually feed your faith. Paul gave testimony to The WORD of God s grace, and signs and wonders were accomplished. But there was a division in the city, and the crowd rose up to stone Paul and Barnabus (Acts 14:1-6). Paul went to Lystera to preach the gospel. A crippled man sat listening. Paul saw the man had faith to be healed, so he commanded the man to stand up. The man jumped up and walked (Acts 14:7-10). o The man heard the gospel, faith came and he walked! Be determined to not stay in a bad condition. Hear The WORD, and let faith come. Be changed! o Your financial life is not dependent on your job. It s dependent on Jesus, and He s not bound to your job. Denise Renner had problems with her eyesight much of her life. Through faith and prayer, her vision improved to the place that she could see just fine with only one contact. But her vision started to get blurry. She went to the doctor, and he said, The problem is that your contact prescription is too strong. Your eyesight is getting better. He gave her a different prescription for her contact. Again, her vision started getting blurry. She finally just took the contact out, and she could see perfectly. Wonderful things can happen financially, too. Start calling yourself wealthy. Set financial goals. Get them before your eyes. Keep looking at scriptures. Say: God supplies my need according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Speak what God has promised. Dance before The LORD like David did (2 Samuel 6:16-22). Believe you receive more more people to pray for, more miracles, more WORD so you can give more and more. Additional scripture: Hebrews 1:14 MAKE IT PERSONAL Make this confession with us: I am blessed, because I receive the promises of God. I am blessed in my life, my family, my home, my finances; even my soul is blessed. God promised me the best and I have it!
THE WILL OF GOD TO HEAL KENNETH COPELAND April 30 May 4, 2018 DAY 5 THE KEY TO ANSWERED PRAYER Paul preached the gospel; he preached faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus preached Christ, the Anointed One of God the gospel. The key to answered prayer and receiving from God always begins with believing The WORD. STUDY IT I. Paul preached the gospel; he preached faith in Jesus Christ. We know what Paul wrote to the church at Galatia. He wrote that Jesus was made a curse for us by being crucified on a cross. Jesus became a curse, that THE BLESSING of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Christ Jesus (Galatians 3:13-14). We may not know the exact words of what Paul preached, but we know it included healing, prosperity and righteousness. That s what Paul was preaching. In Lystra, Paul preached the gospel. A crippled man who had never walked heard The WORD (Acts 14:7-10). o Paul saw that this man had faith to be healed. Paul shouted for the man to stand up. o The man leaped up, and he walked. He heard the gospel, he heard The WORD of faith, and he was healed. II. Jesus preached Christ, the Anointed One of God the gospel. Christ is a Greek word translated of the Hebrew word Messiah, meaning the Anointed One or the Anointing. Jesus preached: The Spirit of The LORD is upon Me and has anointed Me to preach the gospel (Luke 4:18-19). Jesus preached that same message everywhere He went. o The disciples all preached the same thing that they heard Jesus preach the gospel. o Philip heard the gospel from the disciples, and he preached it in Samaria (Acts 8:5-8). o The Apostle Paul was preaching the same thing Jesus preached, including more revelation of what it means to be born again. Paul was given revelation by God to preach and establish the new covenant in the churches.
This revelation of becoming a child of God through faith in Jesus Christ had to come from someone who was not part of the original 12 disciples. Jesus sent Paul to preach and to prove with signs and wonders that Jesus is LORD, and God s WORD works. Paul was beaten, rejected, treated badly, even died and came back to life for the sake of the gospel that he preached (Acts 9:16). III. The key to answered prayer and receiving from God always begins with believing The WORD. In every case of healing in the Bible, you will find the person s faith had something to do with the miracle. If you had been there listening to Paul preach the gospel, you would have had to mix your faith with what you heard. The WORD of faith was built to bring you to God. We get the victory that overcomes the world with faith in God s WORD (1 John 4:1-4). The Bible is the God Is Love book. The Apostle John revealed that God is Love (1 John 4:8). God s love says, If we ask anything according to His will, we have it (1 John 5:14-15). God s WORD is His will. God wouldn t promise you something that wasn t His will. Whoever is born of God does not sin (1 John 5:18), because he stays in that love command and keeps himself in the love walk. What s right in God s sight is keeping the commandments, walking by faith and walking in love. Keep yourself on that love line. Be full of joy, and don t let anger into your life. Additional scriptures: Acts 10:38; Exodus 23:25; Matthew 7:14 MAKE IT PERSONAL Jesus has given you the key to be healed and delivered.
