2018 Lenten Theme 2018 You Are the Way In the Gospel of John, Jesus describes himself with a series of I am statements: I am the light of the world, I am the good shepherd, I AM, and so on. To help one another better understand, available to purchase is a beautiful, full-color devotional that explores one or more I am sayings of Jesus during each week in Lent. Each reading is accompanied by a photo, a quote to ponder, reflection, and prayer. The accessible and colorful format makes it easy to incorporate a simple Christian observance into our Lenten journey. The real gift is the joy you bring to our lives all year long. When we first came I was hurting and tired from a previous call; you welcomed me and my family. As some of you might know, Mike is not one who enjoys change, so to leave one congregation and make new friends with two more, was concerning; and you welcomed him too. On many Sundays, as we drive home from worship we often find ourselves marveling at the "good people of New Scandinavia and Dallas" who are so warm and kind. Thank you for living the Gospel of Jesus and may we find even more ways to share Christ's loving kindness with others. Merry Christmas! Pastor Heather We would like to thank Dallas and New Scandinavia Churches for the gift cards at Christmas time. They are sure appreciated. Jackie and Rhonda 6
