Campus House Application 2018-19 Thank you for your interest in living in our Campus House next year. We offer both male and female housing. At full capacity we are able to house 15 people. Once the application has been reviewed we will contact you to set up a formal interview. Upon acceptance you will be contacted to sign a formal lease agreement. Campus House Conduct Agreement Living Arrangements You are not only being rented a place to live, but also a place to minister to college students. Living in the campus house provides you the opportunity to experience living in a Christian community, working towards making an impact on the UW Madison campus with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Do you understand and agree to this? His House Christian Fellowship assumes no liability or responsibility for the personal property of the residents. Residents are advised to purchase renter s insurance. Personal property stored outside the tenant s room must be labeled and stored in an approved location. Property left after the termination of the lease will be disposed of and the costs incurred will be deducted from the tenant s security deposit. Do you agree to this? Since the house is used for ministry and common areas shared among the tenants it is the responsibility of each tenant to complete specific cleaning responsibilities on time and to the glory of God. Do you agree to do your part in making the house an attractive living residence? No pets are allowed at any time. Do you understand and agree to this? House, Rooms, & Furnishing The first floor of the house is a public space open to all students in our ministry. The second floors are the living quarters for the residents. Do you understand and agree? Tenants are responsible for any damage done to His House property or furnishings. All maintenance problems should be directed to the House Manager. Absolutely no painting or remodeling is to be done without permission of the campus minister or landlord. Do you understand and agree? Overnight guest are allowed, you must first notify the Housing Manager. Do you understand and agree? Christian Conduct and Spiritual Life Do you understand that your conduct must be consistent with the Christian lifestyle while living here? Since we are representatives of Christ we need to avoid all appearances of evil. The use of tobacco in any form, alcoholic drinks, and illegal drugs are not allowed on the Campus House property. Guests of tenant s are the responsibility of the tenant and must be consistent with the witness of the ministry. Violation of these rules may result in the dismissal of the tenant, forfeiting the tenant s security deposit. Do you understand and agree to this?
Excessive public drunkenness, the use of illegal drugs, or major illegal offenses may result in the dismissal of the tenant, forfeiting the tenant s security deposit. Do you understand and agree to this? Members of the opposite sex are welcome in the bedrooms as long as the door is open. Reasonable visiting hours will be established and respected. Acts of co-habitation will not be tolerated. Do you understand and agree to this? It is expected that residents will make every effort to be involved in the weekly fellowship meeting, the Fall and Winter retreats, house activities, house meetings and other house sponsored events by the campus ministry. Habitually neglecting these functions or having a negative attitude towards them may result in the dismissal of the tenant, forfeiting the tenant s security deposit. Their purpose and policies are enacted to provide college students an opportunity for intensive spiritual growth within the context of a Christian community. By living in the House you agree to be an ACTIVE member of the His House Christian Fellowship community by actively participating in House and Ministry events.
