WHEN FEELINGS COME UPON YOU

Transcription:

The kingdom of God is not In word but in power 1 Cor. 4:20 November 2014 How long has it been that we have believed that God or Jesus was going to come and destroy all evil and be our King? Is this not what the Jews thought He had come for? Jn.6:14-15, Jn.12: 15-16, Jn.19:14, all describes their feelings for and about Him.They couldn t wait until Jesus destroyed the Roman Rulers! They were so sure that He had come to set them free from the cruel Roman soldiers and their Rulers that they couldn t understand He had really come to bestow them with the power that He demonstrated. Power over the earth, people and any situation they would ever have. They just wouldn t accept the Word had come to earth as a man to show them how to live. That brought about a lot of fear and disappointment and unbelief when He told them He would have to go away! They were so upset that they couldn t hear when He told them He was going to prepare a place for them and would send a comforter to be with them and tell them everything that would happen. That would take a lot more faith and they didn t know about faith. They did not understand it all came by faith and only believing His promises. How would we have reacted? How do we react today? It is not the easiest thing to do, right? There are many people that still think He is coming on a big white horse and take us away from this ordeal! Sounds great but you best not believe it. He did not give us power just to sit here and watch for Him. We better start realizing where he lives and who we are! We are the Sons of the God Almighty! Not just someone who is trying to live by all of His instructions! His instructions are to love thy God with all thine heart, and with all thine soul, and with all thy strength and LOVE THY NIEGHBOR AS THYSELF! (Luke 11:27) That doesn t take a lot of work except to just Be! But you can t just BE who you are unless you believe WHO you are! Remember Elijah? As we read in 1 Kings we see the mighty power that flowed out of Elijah as he spoke the Word! HE, a man like us, spoke the Word and it was done! He was no different from us except he knew who he was, a prophet from God. (Has not our Father made us, Priests, Prophets and Kings through Jesus sacrifice?) Later, this great Prophet of God ran and hid from the woman, Jezebel because of her threats to his life! He quickly forgot THE Power that dwelt in him. We do the same thing. We speak His word and it works but then something worse

comes into our lives and we forget! God even asked Elijah, when he found a cave he could live in, Elijah, what are you doing here? And his answer was: How he had been very jealous for the Lord of Host and his life had been threatened by Jezebel, a WOMAN!! He had forgotten how God had come to his rescue as soon as he called and showed Himself GOD! God is so gracious with our mistakes. What did He do but take Elijah out of the cave and let him hear His voice to refresh his life and memory! That gave him the strength to repeat to The Lord what he was doing there and God sent him on another mission! And that is where he found Elisha and eventually proved that he was not the only one left that loved the Lord! Do we sometimes feel as though we are the only one who believes in the works of Jesus as a man and then the crucifixion? There are times you feel like you are speaking to someone who is blind and deaf? I do. I believe that is caused by the fact that we believe we are responsible for saving these people. We just can t just BE because we haven t challenged yet of whom we are. We have been taught but it is only mind knowledge, we really don t have it in our Spirits. The only way to KNOW God is by faith. Faith comes by hearing. Hearing what? GOD S WORD! Not by a teacher teaching the Word but hearing HIM speak it to our Spirit! 1 COR.1: 21 tell us that God chose the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. John 16: 7 tells us If I depart I will send the Comforter. Just down the page in verse 13, He continues to tell us that when the Comforter comes He will teach us all truth and verse 15 tells us that all things the Father has is His and Holy Spirit will reveal it all to us. That tells me that all that I need is to come through the Holy Spirit from God Himself! I am not forgetting the five fold ministries for the growth of the church. Let s use the teaching we get from others to go to Holy Spirit to judge the teaching! After all, we are the Church of Jesus Christ and since Jesus had all the ministry gifts, then we also have all the gifts dwelling in us! He left them to HIS Church, of whom we are; as personal gifts to help us. We have always thought He left them to the organized church and have assigned them to individuals. That is why we run to hear a Prophet, or a Teacher, etc. when they come to town! There is no need to go anywhere to hear a Word from The Lord except to HIM! Don t let me discourage you from going to church meetings but remember to take anything you hear to Holy Spirit and let Him tell you what was said! He alone knows The Father s Heart! I know this is hard to get hold of but we must turn our attention toward our spiritual walk and learn to be in the world and not of this world. We are of God s world and government and we must learn to stay there with Him if we are to

become over comers in this natural world. We have learned to concentrate on getting more and more things and call them blessings from Him. We work so hard to pay for those blessings that we have no time to concentrate on Him! Is there many of those you know that spends more time with Him than they spend on the natural life? I think not. That is when we need to put on the mind of Christ and find His way. We pray for Him to come and fix things for us when we get in trouble. Do we, as the disciples did in the feeding of the 5000, forget so quickly the miracles He performed in the New Testament and even our own lives? Remember when He said that all the power that had been given Him He gives unto us? We receive that power through Holy Spirit. It is there for us to use if we only believe in the work of the Cross. It would probably behoove us to read the Gospels again and again. That is where you will find the results of the work done on the Cross. You will find a lot more than salvation was accomplished! The faith to use the power of God bestowed on us, all human kind, lies dormant in our Spirits because it is so easy to follow our natural instincts which comes from our carnal minds. It is not easy to come to the place that He is on our minds continually. It takes a lot of practice of acting on what we hear in our Spirits. It might be called by trial and error! I remember a few years ago when I was young in this, I thought I heard Him say to go to this certain place and leave a tract with whoever I saw. Since I was willing to do whatever I heard, I went to the place and NO ONE was there! I left the tract anyway. I believed obedience was what He was looking for! I have left many tracts since, but I am careful to hear Him say where and when. I have learned that I can cast my pearls before the swine. His word is too wonderful to just cast it out there to land on worthless ground! Yes, it takes practice to use the faith that has been placed in us. It is important to find the promises of God and just say what my Father says and do what He is doing. We must act on the Word when He speaks it to us! We must know what he has said. We might feel foolish at times but God just picks us up and we get to try again! The next time I practiced one of His promises it worked! I knew He had promised I have power over the beasts and we had snakes in our yard. Living in the country that is expected, especially near a pond! I heard Him remind me of His promise when I tried to rebuke the snakes. He said I would have the power. So I spoke to the snake and told them they could live in the woods behind our house but could not come into my yard! We haven t seen one since and we have lived here twenty years! Is that not power, unbelievable power! If you will believe you

have His power and have faith in His word, you can do the same thing and more! We do have control over our lives as long as we believe in His Word. The only way we know if we do or not is to practice until we know!! Remember, if we fall, He is always there to pick us up! What I am trying to say is that we need to learn to believe in His Word! We believe in being saved real easy but when it comes to trusting Him more, we fail miserably. Sometimes we will speak His word but it is not what He is doing and we fall. The secret is to see what He is doing and speak that. Remember a lot of what is going on in our lives is there because He is trying to grow us up so don t try to speak all of your tribulations away. Trials will help us to trust His Word better. They make us stronger in Him. We will need that strength as the times get closer. I believe the end of this age is coming to a close and if we can t trust the fact that His power abides in us and we don t know Him enough to believe in His EVERY WORD, then we will be afraid and fearful as time goes by. He can only help us as we allow Him too. We will have to remember all the wonderful things He has done by His Grace and Love to get through and be the over comer He expects us to be! Jesus or God is not going to take this land! Neither is man! It is only going to be done by the Power that is in us by His Word! They have done all they can do. God gave His only begotten Son and Jesus came to show us how to live in His father s Kingdom and not in this world! He has given us all the tools we need and shown us how to use them. It is up to us! This power is the same power that raised Christ from the dead and it lives in US! A good carpenter learns to use the tools he needs to build with and we need to show ourselves approved of God by using the tools He has given. As we learn a little He will teach us more! Every little bit is going to help. This is the time to start practicing those we have in our hand. If we believe this same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in us, then what or whom should we fear? We are going to win the battles that will be coming against us. Jesus won His battles and He has shown us how if we will trust His Word and go for it! He has said to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling so don t expect it to be easy! Just the little we have done has not been easy but we have done it: Some more than others but all in their order. We need to activate the power in us and stop running scared! Yes, we will be ostracized beaten and jailed, He was too. How about Paul? Do

you think he was afraid to say some of the things he said? I think so. He wasn t very well like either. In fact he wrote his letters from the jail cell for speaking more than the people wanted to hear! To get to the place where Jesus is now we have to be willing and able to do what He did and more. He has told us we have to DIE. That is not grave dying, that is the flesh that has to go and the Spirit has to take its place. Want to know what that means? Have you ever tried to break a bad habit! I am sure most of us have. It was a rough time until we succeeded, but then it felt so good to be an over comer every time we saw that dessert or cigarette. What confidence and power we felt over that thing! We were so proud to tell others about it! Well, that is a lot like discovering some of that power we have inside us through Holy Spirit. Every time we break a bad habit we have overcome and died a little to self. It will be hard not to go back if we don t depend on Him to help us. As we die to self and start trusting the Lord and believe His word, it gets easier. We probably won t have to hang on a tree but it will be very painful as He demands more and more of us! Understand the world is fighting against God. They don t believe so they are fighting hard to prove His word wrong and show Believers as being wrong and foolish. As time goes by they will realize we were right and their knee will bow to the Creator: Another promise! He allows the tares to grow along with the wheat and at the end we will be separated and we all will receive the rewards for our works while on the earth. How He judges each of us will be His prerogative. He died for all mankind but not all will believe until the end. That is o.k. They won t receive the Blessings Father has for them here on the earth, either! They will live in a Hell all of their own making! That is really sad but they have a choice-- either to believe or not believe- - both choices have their own results. Hebrews 13: 20-21, 25--Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead, our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you perfect in every good work to do His will, working in you that which is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ to Whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. Grace be with you all. Amen. Barbara

<><><><><><><><><><><><> Franks Fragment The Jewish shama, Dt. 6:4 states that the Lord our God is one Lord. That being the case, the various names that we use for the Trinity(?) are really nothing more than the position that Father is fulfilling at that time. Apparently Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit are different manifestations of the One Almighty Father. Read very carefully, John 17, especially verses 21-23. Jesus said I and my Father are one, and later we are admonished by Apostle Paul to allow the Christ (anointing) to abide within us and allow it to function as Father wills. We as individuals are not our own boss. We have been sent here on a mission as spirit people who occupy a physical body that should be controlled by Holy Spirit. Whatever you hear Father say, or see Father do, those things and only those things should we be doing. The church system (man s idea) sets out many rules that they expect us to obey or else be overlooked or cast out of fellowship. Life as a Christian is really not very hard if we would learn to listen closely and accurately to Holy Spirit. He is the teacher of the truth and He will never lie to you or steer you wrong. Learn to relax and listen through reading the Word and following it s teachings. You don t need any man to tell you what Father is saying. Hear for yourself. One of my favorite verses is below. Frank Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2Tim 2:15 Life Givers Ministries PO Box 251 Lincolnton GA 30817 706 359 6977 www.sigler.org/doyle lifegivers@nu-z.net frankd@minister.com djb1651@minister.com
