A Time For Everything

Order of Service

Success He has achieved success who has lived well, laughed often, and loved much; Who has gained the respect of intelligent men and the love of little children; Who has filled his niche and accomplished his task; Who has left the world better than he found it; Who has looked for the best in others and given the best he had; Whose life was an inspiration; Whose memory is a benediction. Strive For Greatness.

Damien Lamont Byrd And it came to pass in the time of her travail, that, behold, twins were in her womb. And so it was, while she was giving birth, December 5, 1976 it was proclaimed that this one would come first, Damien Lamont. And it came to pass, behold, his sister came forth, DaVida Lori; therefore, two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. (Genesis 38:27-30 and Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 Paraphrased) David and Lois Byrd are the parents of this good and perfect gift from God. Damien was a 1995 honor graduate of Port St. Joe High School. He has a degree in economics from Florida A&M University. He was serving as Quality Control Manager for GradImages, a Division of the Event Photography Group. As regional manager, he was responsible for 125 freelance photographers and all external activities in a nine-state region for the nation s largest graduation photography firm. His 150 plus clients list read like a who s who among the Southeast s premier colleges and universities, with such clients as: Florida State University, Georgia Tech, University of Georgia, University of Mississippi, Vanderbilt, University of Tennessee and Port St. Joe High School, just to name a few. Damien was a self-proclaimed tech-guru from a young age. Later in life, he realized that he owned his first personal computer prior to the local telephone company. Shamelessly, he admitted to having more working laptops connected to his home network than televisions. Damien enjoyed taking photographs of moving or nonmoving images. Traveling was also a passion in which he indulged in quite frequently whether it was for work or for pleasure. He also felt that his broad exposure to the United States and the world helped him to grow tremendously, as well as to understand that we are now truly living in a global economy and in a figurative sense that the world is becoming flat. In the midst of his success, Damien was an unwavering father and husband; for a man who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord. (Proverbs 18:22). Damien chose Lysheenya Phillips Byrd as his life partner. His children, Daylin Lee, and DaVena Lori are a heritage from the Lord and are the joys of his heart he was an awesome Dad! Biblically, thirty-eight is the number of work, or labor. It includes the idea of one's calling, or life's work and purpose. Early Thursday morning, December 18, 2014, at the age of 38, life s work and purpose for Damien Lamont Byrd was fulfilled as he was reunited with his twin sister Dia. We give God glory and thanks for the gift of Damien s life and legacy. Precious memories linger in the hearts and minds of loved ones. Wife, Lysheenya Byrd; Son, Daylin Lee Byrd (mother; Nikki Williams); Daughter, DaVena Lori Byrd; Father and Mother, David and Lois Byrd. Brothers, Durey Cadwell (Carmen), Clarence, Daniel, David, Eric Byrd, and Augusta Sims; Sisters, LaTonya Nelson and Antoinette Sims; Aunts and Uncles; Cassandra Russ, Deborah Crosby (John), Jeanette Davis, Jeffery Dixon, Otis Stallworth (Maritel), Calvin Stallworth (Ida), Richard Stallworth (Patricia), Theotis Stallworth (Francis), Taft Stallworth (Pearl), Annie Jim Stallworth and Stella Stallworth; Special cousins, Dr. Dexter Stallworth and Doyle Crosby; God Mother, Vivian Patton; In-laws; Janice Phillips and Leroy Glenn; nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, dear friends and his beloved and loyal dog Muhammad Ali Byrd.
