MCC Project for April Relief Kits Continuing violence in Syria along with consistent reports that unrest is likely to escalate and spread to neighboring countries have prompted MCC to prepare for a humanitarian crisis in the region. Mennonite Central Committee is asking for relief kit supplies, while also prayerfully lifting up the people of Syria. Thank you for your generosity. Place contents in a box or bag and return to church no later than April 29. The kit will be re-packed in a new 5-gallon plastic pail with lid. Contents include: 4 large bars of bath soap (leave in wrapping) 1 plastic bottle shampoo (13-24 oz; place bottle in a re-sealable plastic bag) 4 large bars of laundry soap (Fels Naptha, Sunlight or Zote brands) 1 squeeze-tube toothpaste (6 ox leave in box) 4 adult-size toothbrushes (leave in packaging) 4 new bath towels (med. weight, dark or bright colors) 2 wide-tooth combs (6 to 8 inches) 1 fingernail clipper 1 box adhesive bandages (min. 40, assorted) 1 package sanitary pads (18-24 thin maxi) FRIENDSHIP COMMUNITY S Annual FEST & AUCTION May 11 & 12, 2012 Homemade pies, cookies, candy, rolls, breads, cakes or other baked items are needed. There are still tickets left for Lancaster Mennonite High School s production of The King and I, this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, evenings at 7:30. There will also be a 2:00 matinee on Saturday. Tickets may be reserved by calling 299-0436, ext. 340 or purchasing them at the door. This family friendly musical will bring laughter and tears and you may even leave whistling a happy tune. Lancaster Mennonite School is holding its Spring Open House Sunday, April 29, from 1-3 PM on the Lancaster Campus for parents and students exploring Christian education in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. Thank God for Pastor Bill s leadership in our congregation and for the message that he will share with us today. Praise God for his guardian angel protecting Alma Wenger in a car accident this week. Pray for Joyce Wenger as she recuperates from neck surgery. Pray for the VBS Team as they prepare for Bible School in June.
