well as Noor (light), and every believing man and woman is ought to respect both the aspects of his blessed personality, as it does not suit a believer to believe in one verse of the Quran and disregard the other. The Holy Quran has reprimands people for having such characteristic as follows: ض ع ن ب ب و ا ف ت ؤ م ن ض ع ون ب ب ر ک ف ک ت ب وت ال Do you then have faith on some commandments of God and refuse some other?! Alhamdulillah, we believe in both the aspects of his personality. His Luminous Personality in Quran: Quran declares that he is Noor: ر و ک ت ب م ب ی ۱۵ ق د ج اء م ن اہلل ن و ک م Undoubtedly, there has come to you from Allah a light and a Book, luminous. We will include here the Tafseer of this verse compiled by Musjidul Haq Research Department https://musjidulhaq.com/2015/08/13/tafseer-of-the-verse-ofnoor/#more-302 Tafseer: Tafseer Ibn Jareer Tabri: Undoubtedly, there has come to you (the people of Torah and Bible) from Allah a light (Muhammad ) and a luminous book (Quran). Rooh Al-Bayaan: The objective of the first is the Messenger and of the latter, the Quran. Rooh Al-Ma aani: The great Noor, the chosen Nabi the Noor of all the lights. This is the view of Hazrat Qataadah with Imam Zajaaj s preference. Tafseer Tha aalabi: 2

He is Muhammad and the luminous Kitaab is the Quran. Tafseer Al-Siraaj Al-Muneer: He is Muhammad and the luminous Kitaab is the Quran. Tafseer Maraah Labeed: i.e. He is the Messenger Muhammad and the luminous book is the Quran. Tafseer Kabeer: The objective of Noor is Muhammad and of the book is the Quran. Tafseer Mazhari: i.e. Muhammad and the luminous book refers to the Quran. Tafseer Nishapuri: The Noor is Muhamad or Islam and the Kitab is the Quran. Tafseer Ibn Abbaas: Noor = The Messenger i.e. Muhammad. Tafseer Al-Bahr Al-Muheet: The Noor is said to be the Messenger. Tafseer Ibn Katheer: His Nabi whom He revealed the Quran. Tafseer Jame Al-Bayaan: i.e. the Quran or Muhammad. Tafseer Baidawi: It s said that the objective of Noor is Muhamad. Tafseer Al-Nasafi: The Noor is Muhammad. Al-Saawi Ala Al-Jalaalain: 3

It s the Noor of the Prophet and the book is the Quran. Jalaalain Ala Al-Kamaalain: He is the Nabi and the book is the Quran. Tafseer Khazin Ala Ma aalim Al-Tanzeel: i.e. Muhammad and the luminous book is the Quran. Tafseer Husaini: The Mufassiroon have said that the Noor is Hazrat Muhammad and the luminous book is the Holy Quran. Madarij Al-Nubuwwah: Noor i.e. of Muhammad and kitaab i.e. the Quran. Some evidence from the books of wahabiyyah cult: Fat h Al-Qadeer of Al-Shaukaani: Zajaaj said, The Noor is Muhammad and the luminous book is the Quran. Tafseer Fat h Al-Bayaan of Nawab Siddeeq Hasan Bhopali: Zajaaj said, The Noor is Muhammad and the luminous book is the Quran. Tafseer Moodih Al-Quran: The light is Hazrat Muhammad and the luminous book is the Quran. Tafseer Thana i: The Noor of Allah, Muhammad, came to you and the luminous book, the Quran. Tafseer Majma Al-Bayaan: Noor is Muhammad. Tafseer Minhaaj Al-Saadiqeen: According to some views the Noor is the Messnger. اول ما خلق ہللا نوری Hadeeth: The very first thing Allah created is my light. (End of Tafseer) 4

The blessed embodiment of light: Hazrat Mujaddid Alf Thaani may Allah be pleased with him writes that it is a fact that the shadow a body casts is lighter than the body itself and hence, his embodiment of Noor is lighter, therefore it eliminates the possibility of any shadow. 5
