This week, TBBF's new church plant, Christ Bible Church met for the first time at Heritage Christian School in North Hills (formerly LAB High School). It's been exciting for them to meet together over the past several weeks to pray and plan...and especially exciting for about 45 adults and kids to meet for the first time "on site" this past Sunday. They had a time in the Word, looking at Ex. 4 where Moses questions his inadequacy for the task and God confirms that it is GOD Himself who created Moses and will use Moses for His glory. Likewise, those at Christ Bible Church know they are utterly dependent on Christ as they move forward! Christ Bible Church also had a time of worship through song, through prayer and through receiving an offering. Then they took a tour of the campus and prayed as a group over each area where specific ministry will take place (main service, children's ministry, fellowship time, etc.) They wrapped up with a potluck at Patrick and Hannah's home. These next couple week's will be "dry runs." There will be a formal commissioning at TBBF during the morning services on Oct. 13 and Christ Bible Church will officially launch on Sunday, October 20. There s a list in the west wing of some items that are still needed for Children s Ministry if you are interested in helping our church plant in that way. Also, more than anything, your continued prayers are cherished, that Christ Bible Church would bring our God great glory and be used to draw many to Himself! Conference Theme: Creation vs. Evolution: Why it matters? Speaker: Terry Mortensen, from Answers in Genesis Conference Schedule: Sunday, October 27th Morning Services 8:15 a.m. Session 1 Creation vs. Evolution: Why it Matters? 10:15 a.m. Session 2 Creation vs. Evolution: Why it Matters?
