Perhaps the most powerful depiction of Christ s final earthly hours ever put to film, The Passion Christ begins with Jesus tormented prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane and ends with a glimpse of his resurrection. It marches unflinchingly through the suffering and death Christ endured on our behalf, using flashbacks to relieve tension and offer insight into his humanity. Viewer discretion is advised. All movies will be shown in the Lower Rectory Conference Room following the 4:00 Mass Our Faith in Action: Today s Society of St. Vincent de Paul airs Sunday, March 11 on Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN) featuring our Society in their FAITH IN ACTION series. From Msgr. Frank Chiodo Dear Parish Family, I am pleased to announce that Father Dan will be with us for another year. The Bishop has extended his stay here for a year. We are very happy to have Father Dan with us. He has been a great influence in our school and in our RCIA program. He has been a great support to me and I very much appreciate his positive, cooperative, and helpful spirit. We look forward to another year. I spoke last Sunday on the Ten Commandments which was the first reading. It is important for us to know the Commandments, to reflect on the Commandments, to incorporate them into our lives, and to live faithfully by them. Review them regularly. Make them part of your daily examination of conscience. And pray for the grace to observe them. Have a blessed week. 1. I am the Lord your God: You shall not have strange Gods before me. 2. You shall not take the name Lord your God in vain. 3. Remember to keep holy the Lord s Day. 4. Honor your father and mother. 5. You shall not kill. 6. You shall not commit adultery. 7. You shall not steal. 8. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. 9. You shall not covet your neighbor s wife. 10. You shall not covet your neighbor s goods.
