INITIATION RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION FOR ADULTS (RCIA) Change is in the air... Jesus said, do not be troubled Imagine what it must have been like to have followed Jesus during his ministry, seen him arrested and publicly executed. Then, to have experienced his Resurrection and shared these awesome moments with him only to be told, I must return to the Father. The readings today point us to a few things. First, Jesus Apostles appoint ministers for the good of the community to avoid strife. Second, the Gospel offers us comfort. Jesus isn t just leaving us, but he goes to prepare a place for us. As he prepared for his Ascension, this is not a good-bye, but a promise that our own destiny has a place prepared for us with the Father. Continue to be Resurrection People Let our Alleluia be our rejoicing For he goes to prepare a place for us How are we preparing to follow? If you or someone you know is interested in becoming Catholic and celebrating Baptism, Confirmation and Communion, or if you are from a different denomination and interested in knowing more about being Catholic, please contact Jay Cuasay, Director of Christian Formation at 703-430-0811 ext. 130 or Jay.Cuasay@ctrcc.org.
