WOMEN S STUDY NIGHT GROW (GOD RENEWING OUR WOMEN) Trenton Wesleyan is excited to offer a new weekly women s study night to be held on Thursdays at the church from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. There will be several studies to choose from. Sign-up sheets and explanations of each study is on display at the Welcome Centre in the atrium. ANNUAL CARE & SHARE FOOD DRIVE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED Our local food bank is holding their Annual Fall Food Drive on Saturday, September 30 and they need your help. Volunteers are needed that day from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm to help collect bags of food or to drive a vehicle. Volunteers are also needed the week before the Food Drive to help distribute door hangers. If you can help, please contact Sarah at 661-2563. SCHMITZ FAMILY MISSIONARIES IN NICARAGUA Reasons to Keep Praising with Us! Our Nicaraguan residencies were renewed! We received the one year instead of the three year visa but are grateful nonetheless. The Bible Institute is in full swing. This semester we have a new teacher, Aidalina. She has a completed seminary degree and years of church planting experience. It's encouraging to see Nicaraguans equipping a new generation of pastors & lay leaders! Thanks to a donation from Trenton Wesleyan Church in Ontario, Canada, we were able to partner with a team of Nicaraguan dentists to host a dental clinic at the Las Colinas School in Matagalpa! It was a huge blessing to the students and their parents that cannot afford routine dental care. Reasons to Keep Praying With Us! Several young men that we work with, Byron, Kevin and Alvin have been raising money to attend a missions training camp in Columbia to prepare for cross-cultural ministry. Nicaraguans are the only citizens of Central America that need a visa to travel to Columbia. It is very difficult for an average Nicaraguan to get this visa. On the 30th and 31st of August we will be going to the consulate here in Managua for their appointments to help facilitate the process. Pray for God's hand in this situation so that the door to this opportunity stays open! Our desire is to see more Nicaraguans be equipped to reach out beyond their borders! Please pray for our rural churches. During rainy season, roads become rivers and dirt floors in churches become mud puddles. Many people only have one good pair of shoes and do not want to ruin them, others cannot venture out of their homes because they do not have dry clothes to wear. It's normal to have a drop in attendance, but it can be hard on our pastors. Please pray that God will give them extra energy to persevere! We are BEYOND blessed by your constant love, support and prayers. Thank you for consistently giving so generously and praying so fervently.
