Building Kingdom Families: The following sets of questions have been designed to help you evaluate your family s condition based on the information that you have just studied. Husbands and wives should respond to these questions separately and then discuss their responses with each other. Singles may also complete this assessment and use it as a guide in preparation for marriage and the establishment of a Kingdom Family. To be an effective tool for helping you build a Kingdom Family, when completing this exercise, there are several points that must be remembered: Each person must answer each question honestly. There is no passing or failing grade. This exercise is not intended to cause you guilt over the past but allow you to understand the condition of your family in the present and give you direction for the future. There are no perfect families. It is never too late for God to make your family a Kingdom Family.
When scoring each item, rate them 5 to 1 with 5 being the highest and 1 being the lowest score. The Kingdom Family Mission Kingdom Families are families that are committed to reflect Christ-likeness and apply biblical principles in their homes in order to raise up a future generation to know, love and serve Him. Reflect on the following model of a Kingdom Family when answering questions 3-7. This model illustrates that Christ is to be the foundation of a Kingdom Family. It also presents a wonderful picture of servant leadership and submission. Christ said that those who want to be great in His kingdom must serve. Husbands are to give themselves to their wives as Christ did for the church. Husbands lead by giving support to their wives. Submission is the act of resting on the support of the leader. Wives submit when they rest on their husbands servant leadership (support). Husbands must rest on Christ and His Word for the strength to give leadership to their wives and children.
