DECEMBER 2015 MINISTRY REPORT Stephanie Adelsperger Christian Formation December 2015 1. ACTIVITIES AND/OR ACCOMPLISHMENTS: The month of December was very special in the Christian Formation ministry, as we completed our study on the apocalypse (thank you Jim Jacobs) &prepared for the birth of our Lord & savior beginning & completing the study Anticipate, thanks to Pastor Joe. The Anticipate study was incorporated into adult education, as well as children s education, classes offered Sunday mornings & Wednesday evenings. With the direction of Kathy Ulrich, children participated in worship service with the Anticipate session by decorating the Jesse Tree on Sundays. They also learned lessons in relation to the Anticipate study during God Squad classes on Sunday mornings. Kingdom Kids also continued to gather on Wednesday evenings, classes led by Susan Zaffiro & Paul Zaffiro. A Christmas party was hosted by Susan & Denny, as well as volunteers, combining jr. high & Kingdom Kids with their family & friends. The party was a great success! There was a pizza party, Christmas caroling, pictures with Santa, cookie decorating & games. Wonderful success! Thanks to all who helped make the party a success! Our prayer warriors continue to meet on Tuesday nights, led by Chuck Welsh. All are welcome & encouraged to attend this gathering. It is an incredible, humbling experience to gather together & bring prayer before our Lord. Thank you Chuck for leading this group. Our small groups have continued to meet as well, taking a break midway into the month to prepare for Christmas, resuming in January. Friday mornings led by Linnea Carnes, studying minor prophets, Friday evenings small groups, biblical seekers led by Bob Cook & Norris Peterson. Amber & Elliot Ernst continue to have small groups at their home on Sunday evenings. Nursery volunteers have been coordinated for Sunday mornings by Joyce Arnold (Thank You!) & Wednesday evening childcare has also been secured. Beginning in January, nursery volunteers will be available during adult education classes on Sunday mornings. Another accomplishment was in the Christian formation meeting held early in December. Our leaders & myself get together to brainstorm & work together for the success of spiritual growth & education in our children @ CCC. Thank you to Susan, Denny, Kathy, Amy, Jim Jacobs, Shelby & Pastor Joe. Kristen Buddies continues to be a success, & buddies schedules have been relieved of volunteering as often, now that we have hired Rosalyn Grant. Kristen continues doing well! 2. GOALS FOR NEXT MONTH: Continued successful education classes for children & adults to grow spiritually as well as growing in their knowledge of scripture. Promote & encourage the Sacred Marriage class, & FPU.

Meet with VBS team to begin planning for 2016 VBS. Support & encourage Shelby in her vision of leading a children s Sunday school class in February. Grow nursery volunteers & God squad volunteers. Meet with CF team for planning of classes & events. Learn how to use the quick books system better. 3. HOW CAN THE COUNCIL AND/OR PASTOR HELP YOU ACCOMPLISH YOUR GOALS? I feel very blessed to have such a motivated, intelligent group of leaders working in the CF ministry. I m so very grateful to each of them for their humble, consistent service to the Lord. One very simple way you can help CF accomplish goals is prayer. Also, patience. Please be patient with me when I m overwhelmed. Please share your opinions & advice. The more seasoning we add, the more flavorful the stew! Please share with me the names of individuals who may have talents & gifts to serve in this ministry. We can always use more hands & hearts! Thank you for allowing me to serve.
