We would like to hand over the responsibility and suggest a team to have a monthly attack on the garden weeding and tidying. Once the annual spring pruning is done, that and the regular cutting of the grass is all that is necessary. We have a new mower to make cutting the grass less physically demanding. Any offers of help would be greatly appreciated either to me or to John Lingings. Gordon Beeden

Thank you. Extra Ordinary Church Council Meeting Church Council Members are asked to attend a very brief meeting after Morning Worship on Sunday 19th April, to receive and sign off the Annual accounts. Accommodation Required We are expecting the arrival of our new assistant pastor and his wife and child, at the beginning of May, so are looking for accommodation for them, do you know of anyone, within your congregations who might have a 2 or 3 bed house to let in Bedford? If you can help contact me on admin@threeriversbedford.uk or 01234 217519 that would be fantastic. David Cavanagh, Administrator, Three Rivers Church Lay Out of Worship Area There have been a number of conversations about closing off the chapel area for morning worship - at Church Council, and again at Annual Church Meeting (22nd March) There has been overwhelming support for this move for the following reasons 1) The singing will be improved when everyone is closer together, 2) there is a greater sense of being in fellowship when we are physically closer together, 3) it means less work moving the chairs around each Sunday and 4) it is much better for the preacher if he / she can see the members of the congregation. We appreciate that some people do prefer to sit in the chapel, but our hope is that you will try the new arrangements before you make up your mind. The decision has been made, with a vast majority at the ACM, that the chapel area will be left set out facing the window, and the screens will be closed during morning worship, starting from April 12th - the week after Easter. The box of toys and the blanket for small children will be put 2 rows in front of the doors from the foyer, and we hope that parents and carers will be made welcome in this area of the worship area. The screens will only be pulled back and the chairs moved if the main area is full. Anyone who is distracted by small children is encouraged to sit under the organ loft. Worship on a Sunday morning is of great importance to the members at Priory, and we hope that these changes will enhance our worshipping experience.
