The chapter received a thank yu frm Srr Dr. Pat Whitley Williams There was ne dnatin request frm the NJ Oratrs. Recmmendatin frm Executive Bard is a $50 dnatin in supprt f the annual Schlarship and Awards prgram n June 6, 2015. Srr Denise Cliatt mved that we accept the recmmendatin f the Executive Bard. The mtin carried: 57-yes, 0 n. Financial Secretary Reprt: Lyla Rchelle Wilkins There are 213 members fr 2014 2015 Srrity Year. Dues are late nw and late fee will be assessed. The Financial Secretary reprt frm the perid March 1, 2015 March 31, 2015 was presented. Treasurer Reprt: Angel Lessanu The February Treasurer s Reprt was reviewed. Srr Lessanu prvided an update regarding the federal tax withhldings charges. The names n ur CD and savings accunt d nt match IRS recrds fr TIN. TD suggested we get a letter frm IRS. Srr Lessanu cntacted IRS and discvered we have 2 TINs. The TIN ending in 22 was generated in 1985. The initial TIN ending in 51 was generated in 1976, which is als the number that we are nt using but the number that IRS recgnizes. IRS recgnizes the initial 51 number. It is the Treasurer s recmmendatin t discntinue use f the 1985 TIN and g back t using the initial TIN and update financial recrds with the initial TIN as this is the TIN n recrd by the bank and the gvernment. Srr Suzanne Andersn mved t accept the recmmendatin frm Treasurer t utilize the riginal TIN fr banking recrds. The mtin carried: 72-yes, 0-n The PayPal issue regarding the fees fr the hliday lunchen was reslved at Executive Bard meeting. Srr Nicle Tart Risher asked wh made the reimbursement payment t the chapter. Srr Lessanu infrmed the Chapter that varius srrs made the repayment. Srr Claudette Vaught asked hw the funds fr the $4,000 schlarship wuld be utilized. The funds will be used t cver the cst f the schlarship lunchen fr recipients and their guests, legacy gifts (kindles) and expenses related t executing the schlarship lunchen. Srr Willa Adams asked fr clarificatin n the February 28 th Treasurer Reprt Item #3621 what was the $100 used fr? Srr Lessanu advised that the funds were used t purchase cards t prmte the Sister t Sister Tea. Srr Denise Cliatt asked a questin regarding the budget fr the Membership Cmmittee. The final budget shws $650, but cmmittee has spent $1900. Srr Lessanu stated that the Membership Cmmittee had has multiple ins and uts that primarily relates t spa rbes and will be a wash. Membership is n track with budget f $650. Srr Brks asked a questing regarding the interest n the Certificate f Depsit that was invested in 1987. Per Srr Brks, the CD was $15,000 and the interest shuld have cmpunded ver the years. Srr Brks stated the funds were cllected as cntributins fr a huse. The Finance and Budget Cmmittee will lk int the matter. Srr Leslie Andersn mved that we accept the recmmendatins frm the Budget and Finance Cmmittee fr the 2014 2015 Budget Year. The mtin carried: 59-yes, 1-n. 1 st Vice President: Stephanie Culpepper We had ten (10) guests at the reclamatin breakfast. There was six (6) visiting srrs: Jacqueline Hipps, Delta Zeta Breanna, Theta Chi Janet Allen, Delta Zeta Sharn Owens, Alabama A&M Imani Sanders, University f Maryland Tiffany Spring 2013 initiate Spa Day is cming up! The 52 nd Natinal Cnventin Scarves are available. Orders must be placed by April 15 th. The cst fr the scarf is $30. 2 nd Vice President: Nne COMMITTEE REPORTS Audit: Michelle Duttn The Internal Audit Cmmittee cnducted an audit f the financial recrds fr 2Q n January 24, 2015. Tw findings fr dues that were submitted after the 30 day due date. Tw findings where checks were missing the secnd signature. Few findings where receipts were nt issued. Christmas Party: Dnna Hustn Srr Hustn thanked the srrs fr their thughts and prayers. The Final Christmas Party reprt is as fllws The party was held n December 13, 2014 at Washingtn Cmmunity Schl There was a ttal f 19 children, 12 cunselrs, and 250 srrs, guests, and cmmunity leaders in attendance This is the first year the Chapter did a play - Faith Hme and Belief: A CJA Christmas Stry. Persnalized baskets were created and given t each child. Each grup hme received games and library bks. The ttal cst f the event was $15,681. The Christmas Party Cmmittee is recmmending: The 18 remaining CJA backpacks be used fr the 2015 Christmas Party. An invitatin be sent t Ita Phi Theta, Fraternity In. in September, ffering them a wrking spnsrship Srr Leslie Andersn mved t accept the recmmendatins frm the Christmas Party and accept the reprt with high accmmdatins and sisterly lve. Srr Nicle Risher asked if the Delta Academy s budget was cnsidered regarding the left ver dnatin. Srr Hustn stated that the GEMS prvided mre time and resurces t the Christmas Party; they als have a budget shrtfall. The mtin carried: 82-yes, 0- n. Scial Actin: Darice Tn NAACP Membership Drive: 58 Srrs (27% f chapter signed up) 5 family members Ttal membership=63 Delta Days Gals and Actin Items were reviewed. There is a Bring Back Our Daughters letter drive. Letters shuld be sent t ur legislatrs t urge the Nigerian gvernment t find the 200 plus missing girls wh were kidnapped. Schlarship: Lis Thmpsn and Wandra Perry-Hartsfield The Schlarship Cmmittee presented the recmmended awardees fr the Legacy f Excellence, CJA Minerva, Arneida M. Lee, and EMBODI Schlarship Recipients. Srr Victria Brwn mved that we accept the reprt f the Schlarship Cmmittee. Srr Denise Cliatt stated the recmmendatins d nt include CJA Schlars. The Schlarship Chairs infrmed the chapter that mre discussin must be held at the cmmittee level in regards t CJA Schlars. The mtin carried: 78-yes, 0-n. Srr Cliatt wanted t knw what the issue was regarding CJA schlars. Madame President explained that the issue will be discussed in cmmittee and brught back t the chapter via prper channels.
