Q.T. The Answer for Me! Q.T.=Quiet Time 5th Grade August Name

30 Having A Bad? Read Psalm 30:11 Have you ever had a bad day? Verse 11 says that God will change our crying into dancing and our sadness into gladness. The next time you have a bad day, remember God s promise to you in verse 11. 31 Don t Quit! Read Psalm 31:23-34 We are to love the Lord and to hope in the Lord. It says in these verses that God will keep the faithful and strengthen your heart. You have read the first 31 chapters of Psalms this month. Don t stop now! Keep reading a few verses each day from each chapter and before you know it you will have read all 150 chapters in the Book Of Psalms!! WOW!!! WHAT IS A QUIET TIME? It is a time when God speaks to us through His Word and we talk to God in prayer. As you begin your quiet time, think about meeting with God, your Heavenly Father. Having a quiet time is essential for you to grow spiritually. 1 Delight In His Law. Read Psalm 1:2-3 Whose law should you think about all the time? What will your life be like if you delight in His law?

2 Serving The Lord. Read Psalm 2:11-12 We are to serve the LORD with fear and trembling. This kind of fear means an awesome respect. At the end of verse 12 it says God those who put their trust in Him. Will you trust Him today? 28 Pray! Read Psalm 28:2 and 6 In verse 2, King David is crying out to the Lord to hear his prayer. And by verse 6 the Lord had heard his prayer and he was praising the Lord. Remember, God is always as close as a prayer. 3 You vs. The World? Read Psalm 3:1-4 When you feel everyone is against you re-read vs. 3 to find out who is always there for you. Highlight this verse in your Bible or memorize this wonderful verse of encouragement. 29 The Lord s Voice. Read Psalm 29:11 The phrase the voice of the Lord appears seven times in this chapter. Remember what the number 7 symbolizes? Perfection. See how many times you can count the voice of the Lord in these verses. Listen for the voice of the Lord in your life today.

26 God s House. Read Psalm 26:8 Do you like to come to PowerStation, AWANA, Choir and Church? King David loved to go to God s house. When we go to church we are to worship and honor God. Ask a friend to come with you to church this week. 4 Sweet Dreams! Read Psalm 4:8 Now I lay me down to sleep I pray the LORD my soul to keep...does this prayer sound familiar? Maybe this was the original prayer? Re-read verse 8. Be sure to thank God today for keeping you safe. 27 Scared? Read Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my and my whom shall I fear? The Lord is the of my life of whom shall I be afraid? Have you ever been afraid of someone? This verse says with God on your side you don t have to be afraid of anyone. 5 Can We Talk? Read Psalm 5:3 When is a good time to pray? Don t wait until something bad happens to talk to God. Begin your day talking to Him.

6 Forgive Me? Psalm 5:3 God is a merciful God. He knows we will make mistakes. He knows we are weak. But because of His great mercies we can be forgiven and healed. Ask Him to forgive you for any sin in your life today. 7 Do You Trust Him? Read Psalm 7:1 Who should you trust? He will help you when others give you a hard time. So trust Him and see how He will deliver you! 24 Blessings! Read Psalm 24:4 and 5 Who will receive blessings from the Lord? A person who has, ; who has not lifted up his soul unto vanity nor. Ask God to help you today to have clean hands (do what s right), a pure heart (having the right motives and attitude), a humble spirit and to be honest and truthful in all you do. 25 Who Is The Ultimate Teacher? Read Psalm 25:4-5 God is the ultimate teacher. King David asked God to show him God s ways and to lead him in God s truth. You can t go wrong when you do it God s way. Why don t you ask God to teach you something today?

22 Sound Familiar? Read Psalm 22:1, 6-8 and 18 Some of the verses may sound familiar. It is believed that these verses predict events of Jesus final hours here on earth. Compare them with verses in the book of Matthew and see for yourself. Psalm 22:1 Matthew 27:46 Psalm 22:6 Matthew 27:31 and 41 Psalm 22:7-8 Matthew 27: 39 and 43 Psalm 22:18 Matthew 27:35 8 Book Of Songs. Read Psalm 8:1 and 9 Here are some words to a popular Christian song: How majestic is your Name. Did you know that Psalm means Song. 23 Our Shepherd. Read Psalm 23:1-6 You may have memorized theses verses in Sunday School. Recite them now or re-read them again, but this time do it slower and really think about the words. How blessed we are that the Lord is our Shepherd! Thank Him for His goodness and mercy that will follow you all the days of your life. 9 Make a joyful noise! Read Psalm 9:1-2 How much should you praise God? We are to be happy when we sing praise to God. Next time you are singing to God remember to do it with a smile.

10 Whom Do You Seek? Read Psalm 10:4 and 15-16 Do the wicked seek after God? Do the wicked think about God? Will God allow the wicked to go unpunished? Do you know anyone who does not seek after God or even think about Him? Pray for that person today. 20 What Do You Trust? Read Psalm 20:7 It says in verse 7 that some people put their trust in chariots and horses. What should you put your trust in? If you have never trusted in Jesus, ask Him to forgive you for all the things you have done wrong. Those are called sins. Then ask Him to take control of your life. He will be with you forever. 11 Are You Righteous? Read Psalm 11:7 What does the LORD love? Righteousness simply means doing what is right. Ask God today to help you be righteous. 21 Joy And Salvation Read Psalm 21:1-7 These are the words of King David praising God for all the wonderful things the Lord has done for him. In the first verse the Lord has given him joy and salvation. Can you find at least 2 other things the Lord did for King David? and. As a child of God, do you think the Lord will do the same for you?
