Join us in welcoming His Eminence, visiting clergy and the dynamic members of Leadership 100. Welcome to all! We are brothers and sisters in faith and tradition and share in the sacred mysteries of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Lord s Prayer How wonderful it would be for all to learn phonetically to say the Lord s Prayer in Greek. Remarkably, it is the same sound and words written and used by the Apostles as they taught the prayer to newly baptized Christians. The sound and spirit continue to be the same.in English Phonetics of the Greek Pa-ter ee-mon oh en tees ou-ra-nees... --Our Father who art in heaven... a-ghi-as-thee-toe toe oh-no-ma sue... --Hallowed be Thy name... el-theh-toe ee va-see-lee-a sue yen-nee-thee-toe toe thel-ee-ma sue, --Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done... ohs en oo-ran-no kay eh-pee tees yees --On earth as it is in heaven... HYMNS OF THE DAY Resurrection Apolytikion - Tone 3 Let the heavens rejoice and the earth be glad, for the Lord has done a mighty deed with His arm; by death He has trampled on death. The first born of the dead He has become. From Hades depths He has delivered us; and granted to the world His great mercy. Apolytikion of St Haralambos - Tone 4 O wise Haralambos, you were proven an unshakable pillar of the Church of Christ; an ever-shining lamp of the universe. You shone in the world by your martyrdom. You delivered us from the moonless night of idolatry O blessed one. Wherefore, boldly intercede to Christ that we may be saved. Troparion of Saint Sophia (Holy Wisdom) Tone 4 Plagal Blessed are You O Christ our God, Who as all wise the fishermen You showed forth; By sending your Holy Spirit down upon them and through them the universe You drew unto your net. O lover of mankind Glory to You. Kontakion - Tone 2 Protector of Christians, champion undefeated, mediator most sure with our creator, disregard not the voice of prayer of sinners, but come quickly in your goodness, to help us who cry out to you with faith:be swift to intercede, make haste to supplicate, Theotokos, protector always of those who honour you. 7

EPISTLE READING EPISTLE READER...DINAH WELLINGTON Priest: Let Us Attend Reader: The righteous shall rejoice in the Lord.Oh God, hear my cry. Priest: Wisdom Reader: The Reading is from St. Paul's Second Letter to Timothy 2:1-10 Priest: Let us be Attentive... Reader: TIMOTHY, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus, and what you have heard from me before many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. Share in suffering as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No soldier on service gets entangled in civilian pursuits, since his aim is to satisfy the one who enlisted him. An athlete is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules. It is the hardworking farmer who ought to have the first share of the crops. Think over what I say, for the Lord will grant you understanding in everything. Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, descended from David, as preached in my gospel, the gospel for which I am suffering and wearing fetters like a criminal. But the word of God is not fettered. Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain salvation in Christ Jesus with its eternal glory. 8

GOSPEL READING The Reading is from The Gospel of Matthew 25:14-30 The Lord said this parable: "A man going on a journey called his servants and entrusted to them his property; to one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability. Then he went away. He who had received the five talents went at once and traded with them; and he made five talents more. So also, he who had the two talents made two talents more. But he who had received the one talent went and dug in the ground and hid his master's money. Now after a long time the master of those servants came and settled accounts with them. And he who had received the five talents came forward, bringing five talents more, saying, 'Master, you delivered to me five talents; here I have made five talents more.' His master said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a little, I will set you over much; enter into the joy of your master.' And he also who had the two talents came forward, saying, 'Master, you delivered to me two talents; here I have made two talents more.' His master said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a little, I will set you over much; enter into the joy of your master.' He also who had received the one talent came forward, saying, 'Master, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not winnow; so I was afraid, and I went and hid your talent in the ground. Here you have what is yours.' But his master answered him, 'You wicked and slothful servant! You knew that I reap where I have not sowed, and gather where I have not winnowed? Then you ought to have invested my money with the bankers, and at my coming I should have received what was my own with interest. So take the talent from him, and give it to him who has the ten talents. For to everyone who has will more be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who has not, even what he has will be taken away. And cast the worthless servant into the outer darkness; there men will weep and gnash their teeth." As he said these things he cried out: "He who has ears to hear, let him hear!" 9

Project Mexico homes are constructed entirely with volunteer labor like ours. All of the families we build for are carefully interviewed. The most impoverished families in Tijuana are selected, based entirely on their current and future needs. The families that we build for are often migrants from rural towns who generally make only about $4.50/day. Thus, when we drive through the communities where they live and where we ll be building, we ll see numerous homes made of old garage doors, wooden pallets, tarps, tires or cardboard, with dirt floors inside that turn to mud when it rains (a perfect environment to grow bacteria & disease). Our mission is to replace these shanties with solid structures. Four days after our group's arrival, families are given a home with a health-sustaining concrete floor, solid walls, a watertight roof, a warm interior, a locking door, and a new way of life. In short, we get to offer our neighbors the love of Christ in very tangible ways. One mother of seven was quoted as saying, This house will make a very big difference in my life! I used to worry all the time that my house would fall down on my children. Now I will have peace because I know that won't happen...god has sent you in answer to my prayers. What s the cost? The work trip fee for the week is $490 per person. This covers food, lodging, and building materials. Groups will also need a vehicle to transport them for the week with Mexican Car Insurance, which runs about $100 per vehicle. The balance of our fees must be turned in by, *March 31, 2013.* It s time to start filling out our registration packets and get going on fund raising for our trip. See Fr Allan Boyd 12
