The Story: CITYPOINT CHURCH in Washington, Iowa launches September 20th, 2015! As I was prayer walking in downtown Washington several years ago, I felt God prompting me to pursue planting a church. That prompting was confirmed through friends, mentors, pastors and the successful passing of an intense, week-long Church Planter s Assessment. In February 2014, I had the privilege of joining The Bridge Church in Ottumwa, Iowa where I had the unique opportunity to be coached by The Bridge staff and prepare for the launch of CITYPOINT CHURCH. There are 22 thousand people in Washington County. Over half of them are not attending church. I believe that by creating a church that UNchurched people love to attend, we will see the love of Jesus transform countless lives. It is my desire to see new churches launched throughout rural Iowa in communities that have not seen growing churches for far too long. God has miraculously brought together a dynamic team to lead CITYPOINT CHURCH. Sam Schield and Ryan Widdel share my heartbeat for creating a relevant, biblical, invitational church. I am deeply grateful for the talents and passion that they will bring. I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ Ephesians 3:17-18 CITYPOINT CHURCH is partnering with Converge Worldwide and The Bridge Church. Our Target: PEOPLE FAR FROM GOD Unchurched people who have never heard the good news of Jesus. People who need to understand that Jesus is freedom and not religion and rules, The dechurched who have had a painful or negative church experience and have walked away from God. Those who are choosing to live completely for themselves, who chase the fleeting things of this world. THE THIRSTY Those who are spiritual, intuitive, and know there is more, but need to know Jesus. The addicted, afflicted, the abused and forgotten, the alien and the orphan, the poor and the poor in spirit. People of faith longing to experience more of God in praise, life change, community, and action. THE NEXT GENERATION Youth who are walking away from faith because it seems irrelevant and powerless. Neglected, displaced, and lonely students looking to connect. Young adults who are seeking meaning for their lives. Young leaders willing to be molded into their generations leaders.

Tony Widdel :: Lead Pastor Tony was introduced to Jesus by a friend at 16-years-old. Overwhelmed by his new understanding of grace THE STAFF and love, he committed his life to sharing Jesus. He graduated from Northwestern College and served as a youth pastor for seven years. He is confident in God s call to plant CITYPOINT and full of enthusiasm for this new work! Ryan Widdel :: Creative Arts Pastor Ryan is musical & creative. He is a hard worker who loves sharing Jesus with everyone he meets.
