February 15, 2016 PRESENT: Connie Bechtel, Melissa Goertzen, Shelley Janzen, Tami Peters ABSENT: Erin Sams Devotions: Department Updates: Still looking for Primary Superintendent. Old Business: Discussed terms for Superintendent, Secretary, Early Childhood and Jr Youth/High School Superintendents. Connie to send out letters to parents that there is no supervision during church service in the Sunday School rooms. Elective Class Pastor Andrea is working on dates for the class. New Business: Discussed Palm Sunday. Connie will get palm branches for children. Children will sing songs, maybe one with Chancel Choir. Sunday school will be held on Easter Sunday. Connie gave out job descriptions. There are no changes at this time. The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 8 @ 5:15 p.m. Connie Bechtel, Superintendent

Tuesday March 8, 2016 PRESENT: Connie Bechtel, Melissa Goertzen, Shelley Janzen, Erin Sams, Tami Peters DEVOTIONS: DEPARTMENT UPDATES: Still looking for Primary Superintendent OLD BUSINESS: Connie updated us on terms for Superintendent, Secretary, Early Childhood and Jr Youth/High School Superintendents. Palm Branches ordered for Palm Sunday. Children will be walking in but not singing. An elective class, led by Pastor Andrea, will be on Marriage Enrichment. Discussed sending a letter to parents that there is no teacher supervision before Sunday School. Will send out in September. Child Protection Plan. At this time, we are waiting for Board of Education before approval of policy. Connie read e-mail sending to Cindy. Discussed Summer Sunday School and possible option to have a combined Sunday School once a month. Vacation Bible School June 6-10, 2016. The next meeting will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2016 @ 5:15 p.m. Submitted by:

DEPARTMENT UPDATES: Still need Primary Superintendent-discussed ideas. OLD BUSINESS: Discussed ideas for Middler Superintendent. We will order curriculum for the fall quarter in July. We will talk with Sunday School offering clerks to see if they can serve another term. Connie will print class record books for Attendance & Offering. Talk with teachers concerning items for student Faith Journals. Talk with teachers for new Sunday school year starting in September. Will update class lists at July meeting. Discussed date for promotion Sunday and Teacher Appreciation meal. Talked about children's Christmas program. Connie will order first grade Bibles. Connie shared a letter from the kitchen committee to help keep kitchen cleaner. The next meet will be held July 13, 2016, at 5:15 p.m. Shelley Janzen Secretary

Department Updates: None at this time. Old Business: Secure teachers for new Sunday school year in September. Worked on updating student class lists. Reviewed items for Promotion Sunday, September 11. Connie will contact the office. Marilyn and Jay Kroeker and Lynn Hall will do Children's Sunday School Christmas program. Teacher appreciation meal - Connie will order food. Thinking about decorations for tables. Connie ordered first grade Bibles. New Business: Order curriculum for fall quarter. Connie will print class record books for attendance and offering. Will follow up with teachers regarding items for Faith Journals. Appoint Sunday School Offering clerks. The next meeting will be held August 10, 2016 @ 5:15 p.m.

OLD BUSINESS: Discussed Children's Sunday School Christmas Program to be held the 2nd Sunday of December. Marilyn will work on program. First grade bibles ordered. Worked on updating student class lists for September. Class record books for attendance and offering are printed. Discussed Teacher Appreciation meal on September 11. Connie shared the invitation and will have plants on tables for decorations. Superintendents, follow-up with teachers for submitting items for student Faith Journals. Discussed ideas for elective classes. Erin is working on Sunday school project offering lists. Reviewed bulletin insert for Teacher Appreciation meal and will share with Pastor Andrea. Thursday, October 20, 2016 PRESENT: Connie Bechtel, Shelley Janzen, Erin Sams, Tami Peters ABSENT: Melissa Goertzen DEVOTIONS: DEPARTMENT UPDATES: Still need Primary Superintendent. Ideas were discussed. OLD BUSINESS: Discussed Sunday School Christmas Program and combining the preschool and Sunday school children. We will have a cookie social following the program with children bringing 2 dozen cookies per family. Reviewed the Teacher Appreciation meal which went well; 60 people attended. The committee discussed opening up the meal next year to include volunteers and helpers with Sunday school. Will order Sunday School material for the winter quarter in November - get amounts to Shelley. Discussed selecting a project for the Children's Christmas program. Ideas included having children bring something such as hats, mittens and scarves for school or for Living Water Mission in York. The budget will be reviewed and submitted to the Board of Education at their next meeting. Discussed possibilities for a Middler Superintendent. Will update large classroom maps. Discussed using Powerhouse room for a Sunday School class. The next meeting will be held November 8, 2016, at 5:15 p.m.

Department Updates: Still need Primary Superintendent - discussed ideas. Old Business: Review budget to submit to the Board of Education. Will leave the same as last year. New Business: Selected project for Children's Christmas program. Will collect hats, gloves, coats and winter gear. Will send notes home with children. Discussed possibilities for Middler Superintendent and Assistant Sunday School Superintendent. Discussed suggestions for Youth Superintendent for Nominating Committee. Discussed Sunday School program reception. Will decorate on Saturday December 10 and come early on Sunday the 11th to set up cookies. Will have Christmas Trees set up to hang mittens, hats and scarves on. The next meeting will be held December 13, 2016 @ 5:15 p.m.
