Throughout the month of March we are depending on the families whose last names begin with A - J to bring the food for our fellowship meals and to assist in the work of leaving our great room and kitchen neat and clean. THE LENTEN COIN BOX During Lent the Church instructs us to not only be involved in the services at the church but to undertake fasting, prayer and alms giving on a daily basis. These Christian disciplines go perfectly together. Please pick up a coin box from the table in the foyer and talk with your family at home about how our Lord calls us to give to the poor in His Name. We will bring our coin boxes at Pascha and our Archdiocese will distribute the funds to the places in the world that are presently in the most need.

Friday, 6:30 PM Great Vespers for THE ANNUNCIATION Saturday, March 25 THE FEAST OF THE ANNUNCIATION 9:00 AM Orthros 10:00 AM Divine Liturgy In this Liturgy, as in all four Feasts that honor the Theotokos, the girls and young women of our parish are invited to carry flowers in the Great Entrance and place them on the solea. 11:30 PM Lenten Lunch in the great room Along with our Lenten soup, Fr. Wilbur and Kh. Jean will be providing vegetarian pizza. Please bring a salad, bread or dessert for the buffet table. 5:00 PM Great Vespers 6:00 PM Confession When services are not followed by a fellowship meal, let us leave quietly and directly following the Benediction. This will help us protect our energy for the spiritual work the Lord is calling us to do. The nave will be dimly lit during Lent and Holy Week. You may wish to bring a pencil light in order to see the service book and participate in the prayers and hymns. Please make every effort to come to confession before Holy Week begins. As a part of this Liturgy, Jeremy Stevens will be tonsured as a Subdeacon in the Orthodox Church. Jeremy has been a faithful altar server for several years and for the past 2 years has served as Head of Altar. You will not want to miss this blessed event for which we give our thanks to God. Following the service we will enjoy lunch with +Bishop ANTHONY, with our Sbdn. Jeremy and guests who will be coming for this wonderful occasion. Sunday, April 16, AGAPE VESPERS and EGG HUNT FOR THE CHILDREN This year +Bishop ANTHONY will be with us for Agape Vespers, along with Fr. Nicholas and people from St. George, Cicero. Following the Liturgy, the children will enjoy the annual EGG HUNT. We have the plastic eggs but are in need of many jelly beans, Hershey kisses, and other
small candies with which to fill the eggs. Please label your bag of candy Egg Hunt and place it in the kitchen. Thank you!
