Dedication 14 November 2000 This book is especially dedicated to all those who have fully put their trust in God and received their healing. You made the best choice and God has blessed you. In receiving divine healing, you have broken through for others to do so. May your lives be an example to the many who are seeking God 100% for healing. Most of all, may you be ever grateful to the one and only Healer, Deliverer, Saviour and the Great Physician _ our most precious Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. God bless you. Thank you, Lord, for all the miracles You have wrought in our lives. Most of all, thank you for giving Your life to save us and make us whole. We are all eternally grateful to You. To You only be glory and honour and power. With all my love,
FOREWORD These are heady days of medical advances: we have now mapped the human genome, we have the technical potential to clone virtually any living species, gene therapy may offer hope of cure to previously incurable genetic diseases or cancers, we have new computerised methods of disease detection and more sophisticated tools of treatment from lasers to keyhole and microscopic surgery. We have more antibiotics and antiviral agents than at any time since the advent of penicillin. Anticancer drugs are in profusion. Yet more people die of cancer today than at any other time in human history _ one third of all American adults will have cancer in their lifetime! Malaria remains rampant in the tropics and is a major killer, being resistant to new drugs as fast as they come into use. Tuberculosis has suddenly become an epidemic killer after having been subdued for years. New untreatable viral killers like AIDS, Nipah, and Ebola, to name only a few, may be frightening harbingers of what may yet be in the days to come. Despite its breathtaking advances, the attractive promissory notes that medicine has held have only been paid in part even at the best of times and that at increasingly prohibitive cost. Where else might we look? We are told we should look to God first and last when in need. Why do so few Christians seriously do so even though nearly all of us subscribe to this scriptural dictum? The answer is that we only pay lip service to the supernatural while our life paradigm is almost entirely confined to the natural. For too long, Christians have neglected the reality of what the Bible has said about the power of God to heal. Consider that one of God s names is Yahweh Rophe _ the God Who heals (Ex 15:26), that healing the sick is as much a part of the Kingdom message as the preaching of the gospel (Luke 9:2, 10:9), that the authority to heal is given to all believers and is part of the believer s
anointing that authenticates and accompanies the preaching of the gospel (Mark 16:18). Well, can the Bible be taken at face value on this or not? Once in a while, a lone voice appears to remind us to return to the power of God s word to heal and for us to seek the God Who manifested Himself in Jesus Christ as the first and last source of our healing. Jean Lim is such a voice. She lives out her convictions. Her conduct, testimony, ministry and life have been entirely consistent with her views on the sole sufficiency of God to heal. She does not seek medical treatment for her illnesses but has always gone to God in prayer for her needs. This has been her life in the eight years I have known her and for those reasons, I fully respect her right to present her views arising from testimonies of healing such as are in this book as a result of prayer. While many of us, like me, may live on the wider plain of God-and-medicine (hopefully always in THAT order) as the answer to our maladies, the message in this book is uncompromisingly and unashamedly God-and-God alone. I believe there is scriptural latitude for variation in interpretation in this area but I suspect the higher form of living is the latter. I think we find it hard to live there because it would disturb us too much. Sometimes it takes another who lives on higher slopes to tell us about what life in the altitudes could be like. But then there is always a price to pay _ of prayer, seeking the Lord, fasting, studying and meditating on the word, and living in faith. Jean Lim lives like that. Her life and the message in this book will challenge us to seek to live differently. I trust it will impact you that way as it has impacted me. PREFACE This book is written, with much prayer, for all who are struggling with their sicknesses, especially cancer patients. You need not struggle or live in fear. You can be healed. Although not a patient myself, I have been closely involved with the sick and terminally ill. I shared the anguish of loved ones, relatives and friends who suffered as much as you do and maybe even more. I tried to help them the best way I could by being with them and bringing them to the best physicians and surgeons, any source that could possibly help them. But I failed them miserably because that was all I could do. I did not have any answer then. Now it is different. Now I have the answer. Healing is in the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the answer to cancer and all manner of sickness and disease. And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people. (Matt 4:23) Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Heb 13:8) Why is it that although Jesus has come and He is the answer, so few are actually experiencing the healing power of God? People find it hard to believe that Jesus can heal. Today, we have become so advanced that to have simple faith is to be considered silly or lacking in wisdom. Jesus taught exactly the opposite....assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. (Matt 18:3) The same Jesus Who healed multitudes 2,000 years ago is with us right now. In fact, Jesus Himself said that the one who
believes in Him will do greater works than He did, because He was going to the Father (John 14:12). The key is believe. Believe, and you will see great things. I thank God that all who fully believe in the Lord Jesus Christ for healing are completely healed. This book will give you some of their testimonies. Jesus came to give healing and abundant life (John 10:10). No one can give life except God. Jesus is God. Of course, the most important thing is to receive Jesus Christ Himself. Then you will also receive the abundant life He promised. He is the answer for all your needs. If you do not know Jesus, it is not too late. Now is the time to receive Him. If you are a Christian, may you prayerfully read this book and meditate on the word of God. May your faith rise up to the supernatural to receive the healing presence of God. No one can heal except our Lord Jesus Christ. He is our Saviour, Healer and Deliverer. Most of all, He is God. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world _ our faith. (1 John 5:4) The same Jesus Who healed multitudes and Who healed all whose testimonies are in this book can heal you now. The only thing you need to do is to believe and receive. The healing power of God is free and without side effects. All glory to God in the highest. Amen and Amen. When you have received your healing, please do not forget to write and give us your testimony so that others will be blessed too. Freely you have received, freely give (Matt 10:8). God bless you.
