Revelation Unveiled PDF
The Biblical Foundation for the Best-selling Left Behind Series... In the twinkling of an eye, millions of people across the world vanish, resulting in highway catastrophes, plane crashes, utility breakdowns, and more. Chaos reigns. With the stage set, a dictator emerges who persecutes Christians horribly. But tribulation is about to give way to incredible joy -- for the return of the King of Kings is at hand. In Revelation Unveiled, Dr. Tim LaHaye, co-author with Jerry Jenkins of the best-selling novels Left Behind and Tribulation Force, reveals the scriptural foundation of this series. With simple and accessible language, Revelation Unveiled will help you better understand this mysterious, final book of the Bible and its implications. I am about halfway through this book and I have to say that he makes some good points. I am in the process of determining my viewpoint, pre-trib, mid-trib, or post-trib. I don't agree with everything Lehaye says and at times I think he stretches pretty far to make a point, but it has caused me to dig deeper into the Bible and
determine for myself. The book of Revelation is an interesting book and is opened for a lot of interpretation. This book will give you a good pre-trib viewpoint.as for all the anti-catholic statements and Lehaye's condemnation of the view of non-pretribers, don't take it personally. Just consider his views as just that, his views and put brains in your faith and do your own study. As always, do not rely on just one commentary, read a bunch, most of all the Bible and when in doubt ask God for clarification.i am currently a pan-triber, it will all pan out in the end. In the meantime, read this book and use it along with other commentaries and the Bible to make up your own mind. If you're looking for an explanation of the book of Revelation written so that Christians without a degree in theology can understand it, this is the book for you. Written from a Dispensationalist, Pre-Tribulation Pre-Millennial platform, it's "Left Behind" without the fictional dramatics. In my view, one cannot understand the Revelation without a careful examination of, and comparison with, Old Testament prophecies by Daniel, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Zechariah and Malachi et al, plus Jesus' own words in Matthew and Luke, known as "The Olivet Discourse." LaHaye quotes from many other respected interpreters. He expresses what I consider to be the majority position among Christians who believe the Bible is the inerrant Word of God I found this to be a very helpful book. The way Dr. LaHaye offers information and scripture to back up what he believes is very well pointed out. When the author goes off and tells what he personnaly believes to be true, he makes it clear by saying "based upon the scripture this is what I believe".. It's a challenging book. If you don't like being challenged to read and dig deeper into scripture I don't recommend this book or any other one written by a Christian author!! Dr. LaHaye doesn't sugar coat the scriptures, but offers a very understandable viewpoint on how things are going to happen, he doesn't do anything different than what a preacher would do on a Sunday service.. If you read the Left Behind series or watched the movies, you can see what he believes to be true, that doesn't mean it's 100% true. This is the scriptual backing to the fictional books, and movie. He does offer other viewpoints, and explains a little about what other people think, but his main focus is on what he believes to be true.. this shouldn't take anyone off guard for it makes sense when reading Revelation along with the book.. You can't really get upset with him offering his view of how things are going to happen.. He makes it clear in his book, when he's talking about what he has come to believe, and offers scripture to back it up! I recommend this to people who aren't going to be upset with someone for sharing what they believe to be true, and offering scripture to back it up!
Tim LaHays' Revelation Unveilved is a valuable source for any Believer's library. LaHaye explains Revelation for the layman, including charts and graphs to allow the reader to see a full picture of what is happening.as for the references to the Catholic Church, they are sad, but true. There are many wonderful Catholics who have been saved through Faith in Jesus Christ, but sadly there are many more who have not. This book provides insight into the history of their church and exposes some of the Pagan roots of the Roman Catholic Church. Every Catholic should read this and take the words of Revelation to Heart.I commend LaHaye for bringing the message of the gospel in almost every chapter of the book, which I believe was LaHaye's purpose for writing it. LaHaye reminds us to be prepared for the Rapture of the Church and to pay heed to our Commission from Jesus to be evangelists to all the Nations. Please read this book and watch and pray! Love in Christ! This was a good read. Tim LaHaye explained in simple terms and used illustrations to let you see the book of Revelation not as scary metaphors, but as a comprehensive collection of details that makes you ponder the possiblities of the end times. I recommend this book to those on the fence about the end of days and for Christians that are trying to explain the Tribulation to the unsaved and back slidders. Did I mention that this book was written in the early 70's? One would ask "how did he know?" I say to all it's not too late to order this book and get right with Jesus. Liberal Christians hate it, and that says a lot it all in my book! As for the book itself, it is a clear, practical look at the Book of Revelation. If folks don't like this book it is because they are fearful of what the Book of Revelation tells us is going to happen to the unbelieving and apostate amongst us. Christians you will LOVE this book if you struggle to understand the Book of Revelation.
