After a few days, Hazrat Jibreel peace be upon Him descended and he informed the Holy Prophet may Allah send peace and blessings upon Him that a jew had done black magic for him and the instrument used for this purpose is buried under a stone in a certain well. The Holy Prophet may Allah send peace and blessings upon Him sent Hazrat Ali may Allah be pleased with Him and when he removed the stone he found there a bud of palm leaves which contained few hair strands of the Holy Prophet may Allah send peace and blessings upon Him that were broken in the comb and some broken pieces of the comb s bristles and a thread which had 11 knots and a statue made of wax in which 11 needles were pierced. All of this was found under the stone in that well and brought to the Holy Prophet may Allah send 1

There are eleven verses in both the Surahs combined and each knot opened upon the recitation of each verse and when all the knots were open the Holy Prophet may Allah send peace and blessings upon Him completely recovered. (Khazaainul Irfaan p. 1098) All the stuff that were used for the magic were then buried in the ground. Lesson: Taweez and spiritual healings in which there is no word of kufr or shirk, are permissible, similarly, to prepare a thread by tying knots on them and blowing on them after reciting Quranic verses is also permissible according to the majority of Sahab and Tabe een, and it is mentioned in the Hadeeth of Hazrat Ayesha may Allah be pleased with Her that when someone was ill in the house, the Holy Prophet may Allah send peace and blessings upon Him used to recite both these Surahs and blow on them. (Khazaainul Irfaan p. 763) Conclusion: The two Surahs; Surah Falaq and Naas are the speedy and steady cure for all the diseases, especially the ones connected to the Jinns, Shayateen and black magic etc. One should write them on a paper and make it into a Taweez, and also recite 3
and blow on the patient and his medications, food and water and serve them to him, inshaallah the illness will be removed and the patient will gain Shifa. Similarly, there are special benefits in all the individual Surahs of the Holy Quran which I have described in book Jannati Zewar in detail and I gave permission to all the Sunni Muslims that are punctual on shariah, the permission to do those Amals, therefore the Sunnies should benefit themselves through the blessings of those methods and also benefit others as well, for it is mentioned in the Hadeeth Shareef: خ ی ر الن اس م ن ی ن ف ع الن اس The best of people is the one who benefits people. (Kashf Al-Khifa Hadeeth No. 348) And Allah Knows Best! Du a Recommended by Hazrat Khizr peace be upon Him: Hazrat Allamah Muhammad Ibn Semaak may Allah be pleased with him was a very great Muhaddith and a miraculous Wali. Once, he fell severely ill. His loved ones took his faeces and went to a Christian doctor. They met a very handsomely dressed elderly man whose body was making his surroundings fragrant. He asked them, Where are you going? They replied, Hazrat Muhammad Ibn Semaak may Allah be pleased with him is very ill. We are taking his faeces by the doctor for diagnosis. Hearing this, the elderly man said, SubhaanAllah! Are you seeking the help of Allah s enemy for a Wali of Allah Almighty? Throw the faeces and go back and tell Muhammad Ibn Semaak may Allah be pleased with him to recite: ز ن ہ ن ا ن زل ح ق ب ال ح و ق ب ال و ل And We sent down Quran with truth and it has come down for truth. (Bani Israel 17, Verse 105) and blow on the place where the pain is. 4
After giving them instructions he disappeared and people came and related it to Hazrat Muhammad Ibn Semaak may Allah be pleased with him. When he placed his hand on the place of pain and recited the verse he quickly felt relieved. Hazrat Muhammad Ibn Semaak may Allah be pleased with Him asked them, Do you know who was that elderly man that had given you this Wazifah? They replied, No, we don t. We could not recognize him. Hazrat Muhammad Ibn Semaak may Allah be pleased with Him then said, He was Hazrat Khizr peace be upon him. (Madaarik Al-Tanzeel Vol. 3, p. 195) This small portion of a Quranic verse is sufficient to cure every kind of disease. If one places his hand at the place of illness and recites this verse there will be Shifa but the condition for it is that the one who recites it must be punctual on Shariah, truthful and consumes Halaal Rizq. This verse is a wonder of Quran for the cure of illnesses. And Allah Almighty Knows Best! ح ب ہ ا ج م ع ی ن (Ajaibul Quran p. 234-237) ص ل ی الل ہ ع ل ی خ ی ر خ ل ق ہ م ح م د و ع ل ی ال ہ و ص 5
