We forget that the waters flowed over us just as your love flows freely over us every moment. We forget that your grace is constant and we forget to live into your image of who we are. As we feast at the table fill us anew with your love and light. Turn our hearts back to your loving presence. Amen. THE ASSURANCE OF PARDON THE PASSING OF THE PEACE THE WORDS OF INSTITUTION Ronald Cava and Paul Baxley THE BREAD Now to Praise the Name of Jesus Michael Bedford Now to praise the name of Jesus, now to bow before his throne; In this blessed hour of sharing We are one in him alone; Alleluia, blessed Savior, Make us evermore your own. Now to come before the table, Now the Spirit from above; Bread and wine in fullest measure, Prayers ascending as a dove: Alleluia, gracious Savior, We are sanctified in love. Now the voice of every Christian Soars to heaven with the song; Heavenly hosts and choirs of angels Now make haste to join the throng: Alleluia, living Savior, We will serve you all along. Amen. -Michael Bedford

Here bring your wounded hearts, here tell your anguish, Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal. Joy of the desolate, Light of the straying, Hope when all others die, fadeless and pure! Here speaks the comforter, tenderly saying, Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot cure. Here see the Bread of Life, see waters flowing Forth from the throne of God, pure from above. Come to the feast of love; Come ever knowing Earth has no sorrow that heaven can t remove. -Thomas Moore and Samuel Webbe THE RECEIVING OF TITHES AND OFFERINGS THE OFFERTORY Chorale Prelude on WER NUR DEN LIEBEN GOTT J.S. Bach The offertory anthem is based on the text and tune of hymn 356. AT THE PRESENTATION: The Doxology 424 LASST UNS ERFREUEN THE COMMISSIONING OF THE 2015 HIGH SCHOOL MISSION TEAM LEADER: As Christians we are to make the love of God known to all people. We hear this in the words of Jesus: I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. (John 13: 34-35). From this new commandment to love, to Jesus final command to Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you, (Matthew 28:19-20) we hear the command to go and love.

Today, we celebrate and commission the High School Youth Group as they join with other persons on mission to Harlan County, Kentucky with Appalachia Service Project. Through the gift of your service and love, you show others the infinite love that God has for all people. This is both a privilege and a responsibility, and we ask that you now publicly affirm your commitment to God s work. Will you accept the persons whom you serve right where they are and just the way they are? TEAM: We will, with God s help. LEADER: Will you seek to work in glad cooperation and mutual support with each other, being sensitive and helpful according to the needs of those around you? TEAM: We will, with God s help. LEADER: Will you answer the call to live in God s word, demonstrating your love of Jesus Christ? TEAM: We will, with God s help. LEADER: Will you seek to grow by nurturing the seeds planted within you by God and by this family of faith, wanting to be good stewards of the gifts given to you? TEAM: We will, with God s help. THE PRAYER OF COMMISSIONING LEADER: Sisters and Brothers, I present to you our High School Youth Group whom we have commissioned to participate in the Appalachia Service Project in Harlan County, Kentucky. They are representatives of Christ and the church. I commend them to you for your love, your care, your prayers, and your support for the work that they will undertake.

PEOPLE: We rejoice to recognize you as representatives of our church, and thank God for your dedication and your gift of service. We send you on with our prayers and our support, and with you, we renew our commitment to God and service in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ. We pray God s blessings for you and your work. Amen.
