Welcome to Graafschap Church February 4, 2018 Welcome to worship today. Heed the Spirit's call to come to worship. Ruth, in the Bible times, found her way to the "house of bread" by way of a path of loss and grief. Come ye disconsolate. Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal. OUR CHURCH FAMILY Congratulations to Nick and Whitney Petroelje in the birth of their son, Garret David on the last day of January. Thank the Lord along with them. Pray for further healing for Ruth Scholten as she recuperates at home. Pray too for the Luke Society as they minister in Honduras this week and for safe travel. We are asking that you please keep Verna Bruischart in your prayers. She had a fall a few weeks ago and has since been dealing with a lot of pain in her lower back. Pray the pain will subside and she can get relief. Pray for God's presence and blessing of peace for the family of Florence Brouwer, who passed away last week Sunday, January 28. She was Nancy Gritter's mother and also Shelly Windemuller's grandmother. We are praying for comfort for Doris Brinks. Her brother, Ray Winkels passed away also last week Sunday, January 28 at the age of 90. Ray s funeral was held this past Thursday. Pray for all who mourn the loss of loved ones. Continue to pray for Dr. Matt Viel. He had surgery last Wednesday for the new infection site. Keep Jen and the boys in prayer also in this extended season of difficulty. Pray for continued healing for Ken Timmerman following his bone grafting surgery recently. Thank you for your prayers for Shelby Genzink following her surgery. They were informed last week that there is no need for further cancer treatment, which was very welcome news. Continue to keep them in prayer. Pray for Mark Strabbing, Kathy Scholten's brother. Mark has been hospitalized with a fever and a low blood count following chemo. He has finished the chemo treatment, however, and is getting radiation now. ANNOUNCEMENTS We welcome Rev. Bill Vander Werp back to the Graafschap pulpit once again today. May God bless His holy word. Next Sunday, the Lord willing, we will celebrate the Lord's Supper together. Please call Cindy at church with any prayer line items this week while Pastor Stan is out of town.
