EUROPE Youth With A Mission Statement of Purpose Youth With A Mission is an international movement of Christians dedicated to: presenting Jesus Christ personally to this generation, to mobilising as many as possible to help in this task, and to the training and equipping of believers for their part of fulfilling the Great Commission. As citizens of God's Kingdom we are called to love, worship and obey our Lord, to love and serve His Body, the Church, and to present the whole Gospel for the whole man throughout the world. We of Youth With A Mission believe that the Bible is God's inspired and authoritative Word, revealing that Jesus Christ is God's Son; that man is created in God's image; that He created us to have eternal life through Jesus Christ; that although men have sinned and come short of God's glory, God has made salvation possible through the death on the cross and resurrection of Jesus Christ; that repentance, faith, love and obedience are fitting responses to God's initiative of grace towards us; that God desires all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth; and that the Holy Spirit's Power is demonstrated in and through us for the accomplishing of the Christ's last commandment: "go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature..." (Mark 16:15 KJV) We of Youth With A Mission participated in the 1974 International Congress on World Evangelisation held in Lausanne, Switzerland. We affirm and are signers of the statement of faith that was drawn up at that time called the Lausanne Covenant. As a ministry we stress the basis of unity in Christ. Each person is free to share their views when asked or when others want to discuss them, but we feel it is important that this is done in love and without pressuring others to believe as you do. We give freedom for diversity of doctrinal beliefs as long as you have a clear understanding of 1 Cor 15:3-4 "For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the scriptures,... " Affirmations I understand that I am coming to join the overall vision and ministry of this Youth With A Mission centre and that my first priority will be to serve the whole. I have completed all portions of this application, and if accepted, will abide by the spirit, policies and schedule of the programme. I am also fully aware of my financial responsibilities to the Lord and to Youth With A Mission. I will be responsible for my regular monthly support as a volunteer. Having read the statement of purpose and other affirmations, I agree to the spirit of them. Signature Date and place
