THE COLLEGE SEAL The Emmanuel College Seal pictures three lilies rising from the three hills of Boston. The lilies symbolize both the Holy Trinity and the three vows taken by the Sisters of Notre Dame, and remind us of the order's origin in France. The open book, a symbol of learning, has Emmanuel written across its pages in Hebrew, and the words Seal of Emmanuel College of Boston encircle the shield in Latin.

PROCESSIONAL Class of 1994 Entrance Song HERE I AM, LORD (Dan Schutte) I, the Lord of sea and sky, I have heard my people cry. All who dwell in dark and sin My hand will save. I who made the stars of night, I will make their darkness bright. Who will bear my light to them? Whom shall I send? R. Here I am, Lord. Is it I, Lord? I have heard you calling in the night. I will go, Lord, if you lead me. I will hold your people in my heart. I, the Lord of snow and rain, I have borne my people's pain. I have wept for love of them. They turn away. I will break their hearts of stone, Give them hearts for love alone. I will speak my word to them. Whom shall I send? Refrain I, the Lord of wind and flame, I will tend the poor and lame. I will set a feast for them. My hand will save. Finest bread I will provide Till their hearts be satisfied. I will give my life to them. Whom shall I send? Communion Song Prayer of St. Francis (Sebastian Temple) Make me a channel of your peace, Where there is hatred, let me bring your love. Where there is injury, your pardon, Lord. And where there's doubt, true faith in you. I 1 Make me a channel of your peace. Where there's despair in life, let me bring hope. Where there is darkness - only light. And where there's sadness ever joy. Oh, Master, grant that I may never seek So much to be consoled as to console, To be understood as to understand, To be loved, as to love with all my soul. Make me a channel of your peace. It is in pardoning that we are pardoned, In giving of ourselves that we receive, And in dying that we're born to eternal life. Communion Meditation Song All The Stars (Bob Farrell and Greg Nelson) My heart goes out to you as you go your way, take strength, my friends, in all you do. I pray that God will keep you in loving care, and all the stars shine down on you. And should you wake to mornings so cold and gray, I pray the sun comes shining through. May Heaven keep the secrets of all your dreams, and all the stars shine down on you. May the road in the distance always rise to meet you, and the sun charge the evening to keep her eye on you. And in the night when birds mourn a lonesome cry, I'll send this song of hope to you. When moonlight casts a blanket of Heaven's glow, Let all the stars turn out for you. May the wind through the trees whisper words of peace to you, And the arms of the forest hold you in safe embrace. And as you go I pray till we meet again that all the stars shine down on you. (copyright 1993 by Gentle Ben Music) Closing Hymn World Peace Prayer (Marty Haugen) R. Lead us from death to life, from falsehood to truth, From despair to hope, from fear to trust. Lead us from hate to love, from war to peace; Let peace fill our hearts, let peace fill our world, Let peace fill our universe. So many lonely hearts, so many broken lives, Longing for love to break into their darkness, Come, teach us love, come, teach us peace, Come and teach us your way of compassion. Refrain Let justice ever roll, let mercy fill the earth, Let us begin to grow into our people. We can be love, we can bring peace, We can still be your way of compassion. Refrain
