Peace Plaza: Through the rear left exit of the sanctuary is Peace Plaza where you will find our Hospitality Center which offers coffee, water and snacks. Near the Hospitality Table is our Gift Book Table. We encourage all our guests to visit this table. Children: We love children and welcome them in our Worship Service. Busy Bags are available in the back of the sanctuary for children to use during our worship service. Please return them to the stand after the service. Thank you. We have an attended nursery for children if your child needs a break from Service. Prayer and Care: Prayer Requests may be written on Connect Cards and placed in the Offering Plate. ANNOUNCEMENTS 1. Maynard Moser turns 90 on September 19 th. To celebrate this milestone in his life, there will be a Birthday Open House on Saturday, September 17 th, at Peace. The party will be in Friends Room from 2:00 4:00 p.m. All are invited to come and help Maynard celebrate his big day. 2. We will be at Trinity next Sunday for our worship service. After the service, we will have an aloha welcome to Richland Center party for Pastor Wiley, Heather, Liam and Ronen. Please bring a dish to pass and wear something Hawaiian to the party. Let s make this a beautiful time for everyone to get together. 3. The van will run next Sunday. Rick Jones is the van driver. He will stop at 9:30 a.m. SWH and at 9:40 at Our House. If you plan to go, please call Mona Clarke at 647-8736 by 8:00 a.m. on Sunday morning. 4. Help Wanted: Since we must reluctantly bid good bye to Ron Mueller, a new part-time custodian is needed. If interested, please see Sharon Zales for details and an application. 5. We are in need of a Sunday School teacher for the 3year olds through 1 st Grade. Also needed is a Choir Director for the Kids 4 Peace Children s Choir. If you are interested in either position, please see Joan. 6. Would you like to sponsor a bulletin? For $25 you can sponsor one for a Sunday. If can be in memory of someone, in honor of someone or a special occasion. There is a signup sheet in Peace Plaza for you to sign up. Then the Sunday before your special day, place $25 in the offering plate with the word Bulletin on the check. Joan will take care of the rest. 7. We will gather to pray for our community youth on Monday, September 12 th, from 6:30 7:30 p.m. at Peace. 8. Deb Niemeyer, Family Thrift Shop, is looking for people who have memories of the Family Thrift Shop for the past 45 years. The Thrift Shop begins a new year soon and memories are welcome. UPCOMING MISSIONAL OPPORTUNITIES 1. Praise & Prayer Service is held every 2 nd Sunday at 7:00 p.m. with various churches taking part in this ministry. Our September Praise and Prayer service will be held tonight here beginning at 7:00 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend to pray for our church, our community, our families and our nation. 2. The Food Pantry is looking for more food donations. We have a donation box in Peace Plaza by the chairs for you to place your nonperishable contributions in. Our main collection Sunday is the first of every month but will welcome donations at any time. 3. S.O.U.L. Kitchen is once a month at Church of the Nazarene Outreach Center. September 21 st will be the next S.O.U.L. Kitchen at 5:00 p.m. 4. Save the Date! Peace UMC will be hosting on October 21 23 Pathways to Prayer. Margie Berger will preach at both churches on Sunday. **We still need people to house team members, help with greeting and registration, help with preparing and serving food, help with preparing and/or running the power point for the song lyrics during our times of worship, and prayer from everyone that we will fulfill God s purpose for this seminar.
