Humanity is traveling down a very dangerous road. Even without the Bible s warnings and revelations of a future judgement wherein the world will be on fire, the future is clear, a day is coming when the world will be on fire. The headlines lately concern a madman who is working for all he is worth to obtain a nuclear weapon and a launch system capable of striking America. Headline - North Korea claims it tested first intercontinental missile By HYUNG-JIN KIM and FOSTER KLUG July 4, 2017 http://hosted2.ap.org/apdefault/*/article_2017-07-04-as--koreas-tensions/id-21c24faa6ea14240bee01f3 e04e9844b SEOUL, South Korea (AP) North Korea on Tuesday claimed it successfully test-launched its first intercontinental ballistic missile, a potential game-changing development in what may be the world's most dangerous nuclear standoff and, if true, a direct rebuke to U.S. President Donald Trump's earlier declaration that such a test won't happen! The launch appeared to be North Korea's most successful missile test yet. A U.S. scientist examining the height and distance said the missile could potentially be powerful enough to reach Alaska. North Korea has a reliable arsenal of shorter-range missiles and is thought to have a small arsenal of atomic bombs, but is still trying to perfect its longer-range missiles. Some outside civilian experts believe the North has the technology to mount warheads on shorter-range Rodong and Scud missiles that can strike South Korea and Japan, two key U.S. allies where about 80,000 American troops are stationed. But it's unclear if it has mastered the technology needed to build an atomic bomb that can fit on a long-range missile. End of Quote It is clear that sooner or later North Korea is going to be apart of a nuclear war. Do the prophecies of the Bible give us a warning about such a war? Mat 24:6-7 KJV And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars:... for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. Our headlines and news media is laden down with the rumors of war. It is North Korea, Russia, China, Iran, Israel, ISIS and United States and its allies, all caught in conflict, all arming to the teeth. Every day we are concerned about war. The Bible warned us that such a time will come. Another warning, Luk 21:25-26 KJV And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. The information given here tells us that the nations of the earth will be 1
distressed with problems that have no simple answer. Looking and dealing with those problems will be so stressful that men s hearts will fail them. What, you ask, could have such an impact on a man s heart? The answer is found in this statement, for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. The word heaven gives us our answer. The Greek word used here is ouranos. It is the word we get the word uranium from. The word shaken is defined by Webster as SHAKEN, Impelled with a vacillating motion; agitated. 2. a. Cracked or split; as shaken timber. The vacillating motion is a part of the process to weaponize uranium in order to make a nuclear bomb. To spit the uranium atom causes a nuclear explosion. What a scary thought! Oh, if men would repent of their sins and turn to God, these terrible things need not happen. The Apostle Peter reveals the heart of God and gives us notice on what will happen to the world. 2Pe 3:7-12 KJV But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.... The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, (12) Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? God in His mercy does not want to see a single person perish. He wants men to repent and turn to him. God has given mankind freedom of choice. That freedom comes with reaping the results of the choices man has been making. The human race is in a satanically-inspired rebellion against its Creator. God in His mercy has restrained man up to this point, but the day will come when the Seals of Revelation chapter six will be broken; and man, no longer restrained, will step into the insanity of the Seven-year Tribulation. Jesus warned us that this would be the most terrible time the world would ever see, Mat 24:21-22 KJV For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. The phrase be shorten, there should no flesh be saved, simply means if the events of the tribulation were to continue on their natural course, they would continue until every last form of life would perish from the planet. Because of the Jewish people, Jesus will not allow it to continue. He will end the tribulation by returning and conquering the nations that have gathered for the battle of Armageddon. The creator of the earth will heal it from the ravages of this time of rebellion. Where does North Korea and its nuclear bomb fit into all of this? At the beginning of the Tribulation, the rider of the Red Horse of Revelation Chapter six, the leader of Russia, will take peace from the earth and cause men to kill each other. Rev 6:4 KJV And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword. That will result in a nuclear war killing one of every four people on the earth. Rev 6:8 KJV And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with 2
hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth. Israel is victorious and has possession of her land. This war does not seem to involve the East. About two years after Russia s war, another war breaks out. This war seems to involve the Kings of the East, which North Korea is a part of. It will kill one out of three people left on the earth. Having already lost a fourth of the world s population means that by the middle of the tribulation half of the world will perish in these insane wars. Rev 9:12-15 KJV One woe is past; and, behold, there come two woes more hereafter. And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. The only good news I have for you concerning the tribulation and the war of Revelation chapter nine is that God is sovereign. He has the final say in all events. In chapter six of the Book of Revelation we are introduced to the Seven Seals. There is something behind every seal struggling to get out. Until the Lord Jesus Christ takes the Seven Sealed Books out of the hand of God the Father and breaks each of the seals, the events and characters behind each of them are restrained. Jesus will not break the first seal until after the Rapture of the Church. He has made the promise to the Philadelphian Church that He would keep them from the tribulation. Rev 3:10-11 KJV... I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation (Tribulation), which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Behold, I come quickly:.. The war we are looking at is behind the seventh seal. It is contained until that seal is broken. All that can happen is preparation for the event. That is what we are witnessing right now. Nations are arming themselves, developing weapons and alliances that will set the world on fire. Understand the difference between the Seven Seals and the Seven Trumpets. In the Seven Seals we are shown that the Almighty God is in control. The actions of sinful men will set the world on fire. God is restraining them, giving men time to repent. The day will come when the rebellion of mankind will go too far and the seals will be broken. The Seven Trumpets reveal the foreknowledge of God. The trumpets announce to us events that will happen in their order. The first four trumpets deal with the first war involving the Russian invasion into Israel. The last three trumpets announce the three woes. The sixth trumpet is the second woe, the war in Revelation chapter nine. When God calls an event a woe it is something that is really bad! Rev 8:13 KJV And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound! Rev 9:13-15 KJV And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. Forces that have been bound are set free, and a war lasting a little longer that 13 months begins. When it is finished, a third of men are killed. The weapons described in the following text are modern weapons of war, such as tanks, missiles, helicopters and air power. The fire, smoke and brimstone are elements of nuclear weapons. These are the very weapons that mad North Korean ruler is working so hard to get. 3
Rev 9:16-18 KJV And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand (two hundred million): and I heard the number of them. And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone. By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths. China once made a boast that it could put forth an army of 200 million. It is a war to see who dominates the Kings of the East, Rev 16:12 KJV And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. The Kings of the East will gather with the Antichrist at Armageddon. When this war is finished, half of the world s population living at the beginning of the tribulation has died. You would think after suffering such a disaster men would repent and turn to the only power that could bring peace to the earth. That is not what happens. Rev 9:20-21 KJV And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts. After reading this passage I must conclude that there are people that will never repent. Nothing can make them. Love, mercy, grace, nor judgement will ever turn them around. All that is left for them is eternal damnation. Peace is just not possible for people who refuse to listen to their creator. If the world is to experience peace, it will have to do so without such people. God has no other choice. His final Vial judgements must be poured out upon the earth. As you watch the nightly news and you get the understanding that the world is marching toward a nuclear nightmare, you may be wondering what you should do. My advice for you is to first make sure you have personally given you heart and life to Jesus Christ. The following verse tells you the steps that must be taken to become a true Christian, Rom 10:9-10 KJV That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Secondly, live in the hope and expectation of the rapture of the Church, 1Th 4:16-18 KJV For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words. Finally, Get involved in the Great Commission, by sharing the Gospel with others. Mat 28:19-20 KJV Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.
