This year, a total of 494 gifts were purchased, with 46 from our new lucky dip, to make Father s Day extra special for Dad and Pop. Father s Day Breakfast and Jersey Day A sincere thanks to our team of Mums who cooked up a bacon and egg breakfast storm to give our kids a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Father s Day at school with their Dad. What a great sight a sea of jerseys demonstrating such a strong display of support for Jersey Day, a special day designed to raise awareness of The Organ and Tissue Authority and the Donate Life network as well as encouraging families and friends to begin the conversation about organ donation. DISCOVER the facts about Organ & Tissue Donation DECIDE about becoming a donor and register online DISCUSS your decision with the people close to you Jersey Day has been inspired by the story of Nathan Gremmo who was tragically lost in an accident in May 2015. Nathan s family chose to give the gift of life to others to honour the legacy of Nathan s generous personality. Nathan and the Gremmo family continue to touch the lives of many families within our school community and this was demonstrated by the strong community spirit supporting this event. A few memories of the morning. P&C Update Issue 15: Week 10, Term 3, 2015 Page 1
