INTROIT Misericordias Domini Ps. 33:1, 18 20; antiphon: Ps. 33:5b, 6a The earth is full of the steadfast love of the LORD. Alleluia. By the word of the LORD the heavens were made. Alleluia. Shout for joy in the LORD, O you righteous! Praise befits the upright. Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his steadfast love, that he may deliver their soul from death and keep them alive in famine. Our soul waits for the LORD; he is our help and our shield. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit; as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen. The earth is full of the steadfast love of the LORD. Alleluia. By the word of the LORD the heavens were made. Alleluia. COLLECT OF THE DAY O God, through the humiliation of Your Son You raised up the fallen world. Grant to Your faithful people, rescued from the peril of everlasting death, perpetual gladness and eternal joys; through Jesus Christ, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen. VERSE Luke 24:35b, John 10:14 Alleluia. [The Lord] was known to them in the breaking of bread. Alleluia. I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me. Alleluia.
Announcements Some dire news from KNGN: KNGN has had to liquidate their reserve assets to cover expenses. With this liquidation, KNGN has, at best, 3 months of operational funds left, after which, KNGN will have to shut its doors and cease broadcasting. If you value Lutheran radio programming, if you value the mission of the Church to proclaim the Gospel of Christ Jesus Crucified for sinners, then KNGN implores your aid. For without your financial contribution, KNGN cannot survive, and the world s only independent full powered LCMS radio station will cease to exist. Send your donations to 38005 Road 717, McCook, NE 69001, or visit www.kngn.org and click on the Donate to KNGN button. Help KNGN stay on the air! I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. John 10:16. The sheep know the Shepherd s voice and we delight to go where He leads. Of course, the world, the devil, and our own sinful flesh want to pull us in another direction. But following the Shepherd means life, and following anyone else means death. So no matter how difficult the path is that the Shepherd points out: let us follow Him!
