Idea #44 Bring sodas and keep them in your break room for co-workers to enjoy. Take notes to remember what your co-workers like. A simple act like providing something to drink might break the ice with someone and encourage a growing friendship. PRAYER ABOUT MISSIONS HIGHLIGHTING OUR MISSIONS GIVING We recently received a letter from Katie and Larry Winckles from Budapest, Hungary. They are the Free Methodists missionaries we support through our country shares to Hungary. They tell us that God is working in peoples lives as outreach and discipleship takes place regularly at the Budapest Ministry Center and in the community. During 2015 they celebrated the ordination of the first Hungarian pastor as well as welcomed many new members into the church along with numerous baptisms. If you would like to check out their website please visit HYPERLINK "http://www.winckles.typepad.com/" \t "_blank" www.winckles.typepad.com also look for their letter on the board in the wing of the church. OTHER MISSION NEWS AFRICA-Area Director Mike Reynen and his wife, Vickie, request prayer that their work permit renewal applications, scheduled for review by officials this week, will be approved for another three years. Democratic Republic of Congo: The General Conference of the DRC will meet this weekend, January 8 to 10, in a special session to elect a bishop to succeed outgoing Bishop W'Elongo, who retires at the end of January. "The

church has had many challenges," writes Bishop David Kendall, "both from the outside cultural and political dynamics and also from within. We want to join many from around the world in praying for a Spirit-filled and led conference where the church comes together under the Lordship of Christ and focuses on the mission of Christ for the Free Methodist Church in the DRC and beyond." Bishop Joshua W'Elongo has served as bishop since 2003. ASIA-Myanmar/Thailand: Pray for the Van Tifflins, newly appointed missionaries to Asia, who are taking a two-month trip to Myanmar and Thailand. Seth and Hlawn Hlawn plan to work with Pastor Pa Kep in Myanmar on church planting strategies and plan for their upcoming move to Chiang Mai, Thailand. Pray for health and safety as they travel Mon., Jan. 18, to Thurs., March 17. EUROPE--Hungary: Praise the Lord for the impact the Celebrate Recovery program has made in the community surrounding the Budapest Ministry Center. The program has helped more than 100 people find hope, freedom and healing through the radical, life-changing love of Jesus. Pray the program continues to help people find wholeness. LATIN AMERICA-Haiti: Remember the people of Haiti as they choose a president to succeed Michel Martelly this month. Pray the people keep their eyes on the Lord and not selfish ambition.
