St. Andrew s Village 12 noon... Great Hall (no luncheon) 7 p.m.... Sanctuary With First Communion Skipping Stone Celebration. Join Jesus as he gathers with his disciples, on the night that he is betrayed, for his Last Supper. We will celebrate with those receiving their First Communion in the evening and will wait and watch in silence as the altar is stripped at noon and 7 p.m., reminding us of Jesus as he is stripped, whipped and taken to prison. Nursery and childcare available. Good Friday, March 30 Good Friday Experiential Family Worship 11 a.m., 1 and 3 p.m.... begins outside the Great Hall You will experience the Jerusalem Marketplace, wave palm branches, share in the Passover Meal, pray in the Garden of Gethsemane, chant crucify him in Pilate s Hall, follow Jesus to Golgotha, weep with Mary at the cross, and sing Were You There at the tomb. Bring your strollers, wagons, wheelchairs, and walking shoes and step into the powerful story of Holy Week. Good Friday Passion Service 7 p.m.... Sanctuary The theme Kyrie Eleison Lord Have Mercy is expressed through deeply moving music presented by St. Andrew s Choir, Orchestra and Youth Ensemble. Shuttle Serve with hearts of hospitality this Easter and leave the closest spots for our guests by parking in the High School lot. We will have shuttles to pick you up. Sanctuary Great Hall High School Lot * 2. Valet and Drop Off If dropping off or using our valet service for people with mobility issues at the Sanctuary, use the East Avenue Entrance to the Sanctuary building. 3. Main Lot Parking We will be providing directional parking volunteers. We are grateful for their assistance. Please note in diagram how we will enter and exit the parking lot. Children, Youth and Family Ministry DOCK: March Schedule March 28 - No Wednesday DOCK (Holy Week) March 31, April 1, 4 - Intergenerational Worship During Lent, we will Dig into the Bible. We have asked some of our pastors and staff for their favorite Bible stories from when they were young. Each week we will be looking at these stories and jumping in to study. If you have your own Bible, please bring it with you to class as we will be writing in, highlighting, and making notes about our thoughts. Opportunities for prizes and other contests within class time. Don t miss a week! Baptism Skipping Stone Workshop options: Sunday, March 18, 12-1 p.m. Sanctuary Room 204 Thursday, April 12, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Great Hall Room 2 All ages are welcome to be baptized, if they ve not yet been baptized. It is expected that families attend a Baptism Workshop prior to the baptism of each of their children. The workshop is free of charge; please register at least one week prior. Childcare is available. First Communion Skipping Stone Workshop: Saturday, March 24, 9:30 a.m.-12 noon Great Hall Celebration: Thursday, March 29, 7 p.m. Sanctuary Holy Communion, one of two sacraments offered in the Lutheran church, brings us all together to the Lord s Table. Through the First Communion Skipping Stone, participants take their first steps toward sharing a meal with all of God s people. Children grade 1 and older (and at least one parent or adult) are invited to participate. The decision to participate is one that is made by the family as each child develops differently, both mentally and spiritually. Communion is always open for any believing heart to partake.
