A very warm Fáilte - (Welcome in Irish) on your Celtic Journey as we meet in Bunratty Castle Hotel in Bunratty, County Clare. We will have our opening Celtic Gathering here, meeting at 9.30am, beginning your introduction to Celtic Spirituality, its wisdom and tradition. This begins your deep and authentic journey into Celtic Spirituality, as I share with you the Celtic
poems, myth, prayers, blessings, stories, music and Celtic chant. I will also talk about the details of your Celtic Journey. Break for lunch and then we will travel in our private coach into County Limerick to Ireland s largest Stone Circle. Stand within this place of ritual as you begin to feel the energy of this land. Travel into County Clare to Doolin, settling in to the Hotel Doolin, followed by a welcome dinner together followed by a traditional music session in the pub. Overnight at Hotel Doolin. Day 3 April 21 2016. Morning Celtic Gathering unfolding more of the treasures of Celtic Spirituality as you begin to experience for yourself a sense of our indigenous Spirituality through the poems, prayers, blessings, Celtic Chants, stories and traditional music of the Celtic World. Be introduced to Brigid - our beloved ancient Goddess and Celtic Saint. Begin to have a sense of the importance of Brigid in the heart and soul of Ireland. Hear some of the myriad of stories about Brigid and the special place She holds in this land. Be Blessed by Water from Brigid s Goddess Well in Kildare. Experience some of our Celtic Practices that are an essential part of our Celtic Wisdom Tradition. A little time in Doolin for wandering and for lunch. In the afternoon a drive into the beautiful Burren area. Step upon the wild and interesting limestone area of the Burren. A little quiet time for reflection and tuning into the landscape. Participate in a well ritual and receive a water blessing from Brigid s Holy Well. Travel back to Hotel Doolin and evening meal as you choose in one of the restaurants or pubs in the village. There are traditional music sessions in some of the pubs if you wish. Day 4 April 22 nd 2016. Morning Celtic Gathering continuing to deepen your sense of Celtic Spirituality. Lunch in Doolin of your choosing. Travel from Doolin, County Clare, southwards crossing the River Shannon by ferry from County Clare into County Kerry and westwards to Dingle and Benners Hotel in the centre of Dingle Town, in the heart of West Kerry on the magnificent Dingle Peninsula. After settling in to Benners Hotel right in the centre of this little town we will enjoy an evening meal together at Benners Hotel.
Day 5 April 23 rd 2016. A day of Celtic Retreat and reflection to enjoy the space and begin to absorb the experiences of this Celtic Journey, to tune inwards and reflect in a Celtic way upon this time of traveling on a sacred journey in Ireland This is a time for personal space, time for taking a breath and being with what this time in Ireland has been offering you and what is stirring within and enjoying this little harbor town or take walk along the bay to an ancient Tower. There is a Celtic invocation that the human eye may bless all it sees and the day is understood as a time of reflexive blessing. Also in Dingle their are many opportunities to hear traditional Irish Music and Dingle has a number of pubs as well as restaurants and cafes and great shopping. Overnight at Benners Hotel in Dingle, County Kerry. Day 6 April 24 th 2016. Depart Benners Hotel at 9.30am and travel out along the Dingle Peninsula for our morning gathering as you gaze out at the Atlantic Ocean in Dún Chaoin on the tip of the Dingle Peninsula. We are going further into the soul of this ancient land. Our gatherings are ways to draw you naturally into our ancient, yet very much alive, Celtic Spirituality. The Celtic Gatherings offer you a lived experience of our living Wisdom Tradition and participate in one of our Celtic Rituals. Lunch as you choose at the Blasket Centre. In the afternoon walk to a holy well and receiving a blessing from this sacred landscape. We will walk a few steps on an ancient Celtic Pilgrim Path and experience that sense of open hearted sacred journeying. Travel back to Dingle town. Evening meal as you choose in one of the restaurants or pubs in Dingle. Traditional music sessions if you wish in a number of the pubs. Overnight in Benners Hotel, Dingle, County Kerry. Day 7 April 25 th 2016 A gathering touching into the importance of how we journey in the Celtic Tradition before traveling from Dingle, through parts of north Kerry, before driving to County Galway with some stops on the way, and then out into Connemara where a ferry will bring us to one of our Western Islands - the Aran Islands, the Island we are going to is Inis Mor. (The ferry will take approximately 50 minutes.) Dinner together at our welcoming family
run guesthouse. Our Guesthouse sits at the foot of Dun Aonghasa - Aonghus being the Celtic God of love. Dun Aonghasa is a World Heritage Centre that is perched spectacularly on a cliff overlooking the Atlantic ocean. Overnight at Kilmurvey Guest House. Inis Mor, Aran Islands. Day 8 April 26 th 2016. Here we are on this wild and beautiful Gaeilge (Irish) speaking Island off the west coast of Ireland, and our morning Celtic gathering will on s little time for Retreat...walk on a nearby beach, sit in the garden, journal... on this sacred island of wild beauty... a time for solitude. The Celtic mind has a wonderful respect for the mystery and the depth of the individual soul. More of the islands sacred treasures await us this afternoon when we will meet a Celtic Monk living on Inis Mor since 1985. He has a deep connection to the Island and he will bring us to some of the sacred sites of Inis Mor, sharing with us the stories of these sacred places. Later in the day at one of these Sacred Sites you will be guided in a traditional Celtic Ritual. A little free time in the early evening in the main village on the Island where there are restaurants and pubs where you can have an evening meal and hear traditional Irish music. Day 9 April 27 th 2016. After breakfast we will have a silent walk up to Dún Aonghasa a semi-circular stone fort, over 3000 years old with views stretching down over Inishmor Island and out into the Atlantic... Celtic Chants and invocations and a quiet, reflective walk back down to our guest house and some Celtic Blessings for our travels to Dublin. We take the Ferry back to the mainland leaving Inis Mor at 12md and travelling on to Dublin with some stops along the way, including a stop at an Irish hand craft centre in an Spideal (Spiddle) Connemara. We will arrive at our hotel in Dublin City around 6.30pm.
Day 10 April 28 th 2016. In Dublin city you have many options including a hop on hop off bus tour of Dublin which can give you a sense of our Capital City. The tour has 23 stops including The Book of Kells in Trinity College, the Guinness Hop Store and many others. The guide will point out all the most famous landmarks and points of interest along the way, showing you where famous Dubliners like James Joyce, Oscar Wilde and Samuel Beckett (among others) lived and spent their time. There are so many other ways to enjoy your day in Dublin including Dublin Bay cruises, galleries to visit or just wander at your leisure. A closing Celtic Gathering to weave together all the strands of this Celtic Journey receiving Brigid s Sacred Flame in a natural Celtic Ceremony... as you begin the harvesting of the treasures that this inward and outward Journey within the Celtic Wisdom Tradition has been and how you can carry the treasures from this sacred journey back into your life. I will share with you Celtic Teachings and you will have the opportunity to take part in Celtic Practices and natural Celtic Rituals. Our gatherings give you an internal understanding and feel for the Celtic Tradition a world filled with mystery and natural wonder. During these Gatherings I introduce you in an authentic and natural Celtic way to Celtic Spirituality and Celtic Wisdom.
