Night After-noon Arrival and accommodation in The host city of WYD Morning WORLD YOUTH DAY From January 22 nd until 27 th,2019 World Youth Days bring together young people from all over the world to share their faith and celebrate Jesus Christ. The young pilgrims take part in various activities of praise and sharing, as well as catechism and community activities. The week ends with a vigil and mass with the Holy Father. Here is an outline of the main events: WORLD YOUTH DAYS: TYPICAL SCHEDULE OF EVENTS MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY THURSDAY FRIDAY SATURDAY SUNDAY Official Welcome Catechesis sessions * Groups divided by language, with the participation of different bishops of the world Pilgrimage Walk to the place of the vigil and the closing Mass Closing ceremonies - Morning prayer; - Eucharistic celebration presided over by the Pope; - - Announcement of the host country for the next WYD. Opening Mass The Eucharistic celebration is celebrated by the Bishop of the Diocese hosting WYD Arrival and welcome of Pope The Holy Father gives his word of welcome during a moment of prayer.
