When sheep in the field hear their shepherd, they come at his call. As people of Jesus, the Good Shepherd, we hear His voice and come at His call. His voice comes to us though His Word and Sacraments. God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son (Hebrews 1:1 2 ESV). Thanks be to God! MITES GIVEN TODAY go to the 2014-2016 MNS Mission Grant Goal. New Grants will be chosen during the June convention.

WE SHOULD KNOW next Sunday, one week from today, if we have been assigned a graduate from one of our Seminaries to become our Assistant Pastor. If we are to receive a graduate, we hope to live-stream the Call Day Service from the particular seminary so that we can see him receive our Call. If the graduate is to be from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri, the service will be at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26th with our District President, Dr. Dean Nadasdy as the preacher for the special service. If the graduate to be placed here is from Concordia Theological Seminary in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, the service will be at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 27th. Pray that the Lord of the Church sends us another worker to shepherd us, but pray also for all those whom the Lord is sending into the work of His Ministry. ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A WAY TO VOLUNTEER AT CHURCH? Do you want a job that only requires a little bit of time and only 1 meeting a year? Then the Altar Guild is just what you are looking for. We are a small group of women that take either one or two months a year, to be responsible for putting flowers on the altar and making sure the paraments are changed as needed. If this sounds like something that you could handle please contact Kathy Johnson at 344-8609. Please consider helping! THIS TUESDAY EVENING, April 19 at 6:30pm, all ladies of Our Savior are invited to the LWML Quarterly Meeting. The theme Act Compassionately will encourage you to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Savior. Meet and have fellowship with your sisters in Christ. Meet someone you did not know before. Begin by sowing one seed at a time. This is what the Lord Almighty says:... show mercy and compassion to one another. (Zechariah 7:9) ADULT CONFIRMATION CLASSES BEGINNING: Pastor Lauer will again be offering a Spring series of Adult Confirmation Classes on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30 p.m. April 20th through May 25th in the Fellowship Hall. Existing members are also invited to attend to refresh their faith and gain an adult explanation about the Bible, the Person and Work of Christ, Baptism, the Lord's Supper, and more. Get a preview of the class at plauer.net or view missed sessions online at plauer.net/adult-instruction. Everyone is welcome! CANCER COMPANIONS: Reading for Thursday, April 21 st is #8. FROM THE STEWARDSHIP COMMITTEE: John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. On their own sheep are in great danger. They need a shepherd to guide them. The sheep know the Shepherd s voice and we delight to go where He leads. Of course, the world, the devil, and our own sinful flesh want to pull us in another direction. Namely, they want to pull us in the direction of death. But following the Shepherd means life. So no matter how difficult the path is that the Shepherd points out: let us follow Him!
