The Road Forward W e lcome! Welcome to Pathway Church where we are growing God s family by helping people take their next step with Jesus Christ. Following the service, everyone is invited into the Atrium for a time of refreshments and conversation. Welcome to all, but in particular, welcome to all guests! We encourage you to fill out the guest card on the back of this worship program and place it in the wooden box on the table in the back of the auditorium. Thank you for visiting Pathway today. Come. See. Connect. The Bible teaches that God is with us. Even one of Jesus nicknames is Immanuel meaning God with us. But how? How is He with us? Over the next two Sundays and then the Christmas season we will explore what it means that God is with us. This comes at a pivotal time for Pathway, as we end our two week fast and ask what God revealed. We sought His face over a building project that seems a near term impossibility. Today we hear from you how He revealed Himself. Our message this week is God with us in the mission. Is He? If so, how? Thanksgiving Day Worship Service You are invited to our Thanksgiving Day Worship Service here at Crown Point Christian School on Thanksgiving morning, THIS Thursday, November 23 at 9:00 am. Bring an object that represents something your family or you are thankful for. We will be asked to bring forward our objects and present them unto God as symbols of our thankfulness. We May Have Guests! This week we will be blessed with 42 driving teams and 15 or so meal prep new friends from the Chamber. Pathway, welcome them and enjoy them. They have contributed and will prep and deliver meals to an additional 844 more people through names supplied by Mental Health of America, another Chamber friend. Please do not just hang out with whom you know as we prep meals together at Lencioni s Pub on Wednesday. Also make sure to welcome newcomers to our service Thanksgiving, and as you pick up your meals for delivery. This is a big honor and opportunity for us to serve God and to connect with our neighbors. Thanksgiving Day Offering Envelopes Thanksgiving Day Offering envelopes are in your worship programs today. Thanksgiving Day Offering Missionary Information Resonate Global Mission (Joining of Christian Reformed Home Missions & Christian Reformed World Missions) George and Sarah de Vuyst Vision We envision healthy congregations emerging to bring healing and transformation to lives and communities throughout Ukraine and Eastern Europe s post-communist countries. Mission Together with our partners in Ukraine, we are training church leaders in Ukraine s post-soviet, post-christian, and post-atheist society in order to develop healthy churches with a biblical understanding of Christianity so that God's Kingdom may transform all spheres of life and society. Ministry in Ukraine George and Sarah de Vuyst and their three children have served in Ukraine since 1998. George originally mentored local missionaries and worked in church planting with a Ukrainian Reformed congregation, helping it develop into a healthy church that served as a model for other congregations. He is now transitioning to leadership development in partnership with Timothy Leadership Training and other organizations. Thank You We praise God for His work around the world and are thankful for the privilege of serving Him. Thank you for your prayers, generosity and support for our ministry with Christian Reformed World Missions. Together, by God's grace, our efforts are transforming lives and communities in Ukraine and beyond. Thanksgiving Day Offering Missionary Information Resonate Global Mission (Joining of Christian Reformed Home Missions & Christian Reformed World Missions) Michael and Kim Essenburg Vision We want to see Japanese people growing strong in the Lord. In particular, we want to see Japanese children getting equipped to walk with God and influence His world. Mission Since 1987, we have been using the ministry of Christian education to reach Japan for Jesus. We serve at Okinawa Christian School International (OCSI), a prek-12 school of over 400 students that is located in southern Japan. Many of these students are Japanese, and most come from non-christian homes. We are excited about helping our students to grow strong in the Lord. At OCSI, Michael serves as superintendent, and Kim serves as a high school English teacher. Thank You We praise God for His work around the world and the privilege of serving Him. Thank you for your prayers, generosity and support for our ministry with Christian Reformed World Missions. Together, by God's grace, our efforts are transforming lives and communities worldwide. Thank you.
