K-8 Practice New Safety Procedures On Wednesday, grades K 8 prac ced a new safety method Run, Hide, Fight in case of an intruder, as recommended by the Police and Homeland Security. Run, Hide, Fight entails a simple three step guideline for both students and teachers. Run is the first and best op on to flee from the premises immediately. If running isn t a possibility, the next best op on would be to Hide. In the worst case scenario where students and faculty might be confronted by the intruder, they should Fight using anything they have (by throwing scissors, pencils, water bo les, etc) in order to create a distrac on. The drill was explained in age appropriate ways to all the grade levels and the students calmly and efficiently prac ced by climbing out of the windows. We thank all our students and teachers for their coopera on in this very important new protocol. פרנס היום Parnes Hayom The Day of Learning on Monday, September 22nd/ 27th of Elul was sponsored by Adele Gorenstein, Joel and Rebecca, Sam, Max and Mason Gorenstein in loving memory of their dear husband, father, and grandfather Sam Gorenstein, Shlomo Yosef ben Avraham Zev z"l in commemoration of his 11th Yahrtzeit May all our students' learning merit an aliyah for his neshama Good and Welfare Mazel tov to Benjie ( 96) and Amanda Shyman on the birth of a baby boy!
