Part of a living relationship with Jesus is to take time to listen and to learn God s will for our lives. As a church we encourage each other to set aside a portion of the day meditating upon God s word. One way of doing this is to use the Scripture Union WORDLIVE programme which is a simple and practical way to pray, read, reflect and respond to God s word, with additional material to help you go deeper into the background of the Bible passage. https://www.wordlive.org/session If you have any questions about the passage please email a member of the leadership team.

THIS MONTHS MISSION FEATURE In the picture you can see the exact space where we hope the youth centre will go! River Of life Church Uganda My name is Lisa Meadows; for the last 18 months I have been working with River of Life Church in Masaka Uganda. My main purpose is to help others find hope and a future with Jesus through various projects. This week I would love to share with you our vision for developing the ROLC youth ministry in the coming year. We feel it s so important for young people to find a place of belonging, especially as many young people in Masaka are from broken families or backgrounds. So, we are hoping to build a basket-ball court for running sports to connect with local youth from outside of the church as well as build a new youthcentre attached to the back of ROLC. The youth centre will provide a relaxed & "homely" environment for inviting in youth that we have connected with from the streets or the community, enabling them to experience the love of Jesus before later introducing them to the church. The centre would create a safe place for young people to come & hang out, hold youth fellowship gatherings, groups, Bible studies, mentoring, creative workshops, skills training & other programs. Once the centre is built, we aim to shift the Amazing Generation Bring & Share group from my home to the centre; as well as our "Pearl of Grace" creative Bible group & tailoring classes. There would also be the opportunity for teaching musical instruments, for movie nights a library & more! We have some quite new Christian young people and the youth pastor has agreed for me to help with running a youth Alpha when the youth centre is up & running. We can also invite other local non- Christian youth to explore the faith too.

It is on my heart to help raise the funds for this project to help enable this ministry to develop. We're excited to see great potential in the youth ministry to grow through the building of this centre so your prayers are greatly appreciated! Thank you so much for your support! Please pray For God to help us meet the needs of our young people. For successful fundraising of 1000. Praise God For new Christian young people this last year! Please do get in touch, lisameadows613@gmail.com Please also join us on facebook @ River of Life Uganda for more updates and take a business card from the back of church to remind you. Loose Collections Every loose collection will be shared amongst our mission partners. This week we are focusing our prayers on Lisa Meadows; with River of Life Church in Masaka Uganda. If you would like to give to the Church and not to the current mission partner please use the appropriate envelope: either a Gift Aid one or a nontaxpayer's one. Non-taxpayers please note: under the Gift Aid Small Donor Scheme (GASDS) the Church can claim gift aid on cash donations of 20 or less, no details are required. Please ask a Church Warden if you cannot find the correct envelope. If you have a notice... All events, ministries or notices for publication in any of our media should go to office@trinitylewes.org Please note that the deadline for the notice sheet is Wednesday 9am. Please note Monday is the Clergy, Youth Minister s and Children s Minister s day-off, and Friday is Janette Watkins day-off (Pastoral Minister) so they are not available on those days except for emergencies. Safeguarding We take the safeguarding of children and adults seriously. Therefore if you have any concerns please speak to the relevant Child Protection Representative or Adult Safeguarding Officer in each location. Please speak to Kirsty Stannard, or Amanda Burgess at South Malling or Jenni Taylor (adults) at Southover.
