THANKSGIVING SERVICE Sunday, Nov. 23rd will be the day of our Thanksgiving altar. You are asked to bring food items to be donated to the Grand Ledge Food Bank and place them on the altar or the chancel before our worship service begins. If you would like to bring items for the holiday food baskets, the following are especially helpful: Stuffing Mix, canned cranberries/sauce, boxed potatoes, canned vegetables/fruit. We also need boxes printer paper type if possible. HANGING OF THE GREENS Following worship on Nov. 23rd we will have the Hanging of the Greens. This is the Sunday that we will decorate our entire church for the Advent season. After decorating we will break at 12:30 p.m. for a soup, salad and dessert lunch. we will break for SOUP, SALAD & DESSERT lunch.

Thank you for your continued support of the mission and ministries of the Wacousta UMC. WORLD AIDS DAY On Nov. 30 th, the First Sunday of Advent, we will commemorate World AIDS Day. A special collection will be taken for the United Methodist Global AIDS Fund. For more information on this fund, visit:http://www.umcor.org/umcor/programs/global- Health/HIV-AIDS CANCER PREVENTION Cancer affects all of us one way or another. One of the ways to help with its prevention is to be aware of the harmful things that we do automatically. On the card table in the Narthex is a flier and some deodorant that Jean Beaune has provided for us to look at and learn about regarding cancer prevention. COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING SERVICE The Grand Ledge Area Community Thanksgiving Service will be held on Tuesday, November 25 th at 7:00 p.m. at the First Congregational Church, 210 W. Saginaw, Grand Ledge. The offering taken will go to support the Grand Ledge Emergency Assistance Program.
