The Vice Chancellor expressed delight over the students brilliant performance and for being good ambassadors of the University. He gave each participant the sum of N10,000.00. The selection test was conducted on 26 th November, 2011 and the students, who were drawn from the faculties of Medicine, Social and Management Science, Science, Law and Technology, will enjoy the scholarship based on their performance. Professor Lawan Yalwa Reappointed Director CSNL The Vice Chancellor, Professor Abubakar Adamu Rasheed, mni, has approved the re-appointment of Professor Lawan Danladi Yalwa as the Director, Centre for the Study of Nigerian Languages for another two years. A letter signed by the Registrar, Alhaji Sani Ibrahim Amin, indicated that the re-appointment took effect from 5 th May, 2012. Prof. Dandago Hands over Consultancy Services Unit to Prof. Yakasai The former Chairman of the Bayero University Consultancy Services Unit, Professor Kabiru Isa Dandago, has formally handed over the affairs of the unit to the new Chairman, Professor Muhammad Ibrahim Yakasai, of the Faculty of Education. Speaking during the handing over ceremony recently, Professor Dandago described the new chairman as a seasoned educationist and a high profile University don whose intelligence and professional astuteness have been of immense blessing to the University.
4 Prof. Dandago advised the new chairman to act as an agent of positive change and put in his best in order to uplift the standard of the unit to the next level. He enjoined staff of the unit to give the new chairman maximum support and cooperation as they did during his tenure. Responding, the new chairman, Professor Muhammad Yakasai, promised to do his best for the overall growth and development of the unit in particular, and the University, in general.
